Introduction
The most crucial thing that I have learned about nursing is that it requires a lot of creativity and innovation to develop the necessary skills. In my course, I have focused on clinical and medical experience which has contributed greatly to my knowledge concerning particular disciplines to serve a greater good of humanity.
Collaboratively investigate current research and its application to practice to improve patient-centered care. (PCC, T/C, & EBP
The current research has been of help in developing practices that have improved the care of patients. There are evidence-based practices that have come to place requiring the nurses to fully engage in their work to care for patients. Similarly, care has been centered on the patients because they are the people that need the concern being offered. Transitional care has also been practiced to satisfy the needs of every patient.
Relate research processes to continuous quality improvement
The medical sector has provided developments to the care of patients that people have to be proud of. The research has been in various areas such as drugs and dosage, patient care, hospital facility improvement and many others which have generally created institutions of value that patients can rely on for care. It is a privilege to be in a field where there have been most advancements coming with benefits.
Integrate evidence from a variety of sources to foster a culture of safety. (S & EBP)
The hospital institutions have taken into keen concern working in environments that have a diverse class of staff offering a range of services to the patients. They have also taken care of issues of communication in such kinds of workplaces especially for the patient ensuring utmost satisfaction for them. Nurses are able to listen to the personal stories of patients and identify how to enlist the family members to ensure improvements in treatment.
Apply ethical and legal standards as they relate to information technology and data security
I respect the rules of copyright laws, credit scientists and their research in nursing such that one has to seek permission before they could decide to fabricate what authors have written hence participant protection. The nursing course has taught me to maintain the ANA code of ethics which is a good one in ensuring research is well integrated into the culture of patient care.
Describe excellent examples of personal strengths and weaknesses discovered during the course
I have discovered my art of creativity throughout the course which has helped me complete my tasks in time and also help others. I find it easy to do things if you can quickly figure out how to maneuver through. Doing most research has helped to develop necessary arguments and consider their application in the industry. However, my major weakness is in listening to personal stories of patients because I get emotional and sympathize with them when I should be offering my advice.
Describe how your IPP promoted civic engagement
My IPP made a difference in the life of my community because I saved a life and treated most people until they were healthy. Through the practice, I developed knowledge, skills as well as attitudes that helped make a difference with others. There is much I have learned and put into practice which will continue to help me over time.
