Introduction
My passion on music and guitar playing started when I read wise phrases from famous leaders like the American President, Abraham Lincoln. Some of these advices emphasised that nothing is impossible to a person with a willing heart. This word kept resonating in in my mind and encouraged my heart to develop positive attitude on guitar playing. I started to deviate from comments that interfered me from aspiring in music and entertainment. Perseverance and patience are my core values that kept me moving forward towards achieving my goals in life. I know that God blessed people with various distinct talents and abilities. Commitment is required for one to realize his/her capabilities and improve their competence. A talent should be practised with passion and confidence (Vallerand, 2012). When I was ten years old, I developed an attitude in guitar playing after hearing nice lyrics it produced as my father was playing it.
Many people perceive that playing a guitar requires a lot of learning sessions. Therefore, young men do not like the act playing a guitar since it involves difficult activities to be accomplished. This is not so because a willing heart will always develop positive attitude on what the mind desires. Music is an important component for mental growth and development. Music is an art that involves participation of most parts of the body (Belanger, Lafreniere, Sedikides & Vallerand, 2011). Psychological stress and depression can also be reduced through listening music songs and playing musical instruments that suite the brain. Playing a guitar involves the use of fingers and hands. A good interlinking between the brain and hands is crucial because it improves creativity of an individual playing the guitar. Creativity is an essential art that can be utilized in science and technology during production and innovation.
Playing guitar in schools should be included because it promotes talents of students who are not talented in games and sports. We all understand that God created people differently because not all students admitted to various institutions perform well. Some are talented in other fields, therefore, their capabilities and competence should be considered. Playing a guitar may also be incorporated into spiritual use because it supplements other musical instruments. Music is my passion and guitar playing is my escape (Vallerand & Verner-Filion, 2013). It took me a couple of years to identify my talent until I developed interest in music industry. Nothing under the sun can stop be from participating in music especially playing guitar. My first time in high school was so miserable to me because I had no friend to spend time together. School life was half-hell to me in addition missing my musical instrument.
Music is pivotal in impressing the capabilities of people and encouraging development of technical skills that may be beneficial in other sectors. Guitar playing supplements a productive leisure time for young individuals. The act of playing a guitar involves the mind, therefore, avoiding idleness and bad behaviours. In this case, music promotes development of good morals among school going children and teenagers. Music and guitar should be encouraged in learning institutions as a talent by establishing music schools and introducing music classes. Recognition is diversity and appreciating achievements made by other people is important for social development. Some people depend on guitar playing as a source of their livelihood (Forest, 2017). In conclusion, music industry promotes unity because singers depend on skills and services of guitarists and other instrumentalists for their effective performance.
