Despite not knowing exactly the degree I could pursue, I was quite sure that had to go to university to enhance my knowledge, grow my personality and increase my likelihood of leading a better life in future. Also, the high demand for accounting professionals made me develop an interest in pursuing the accounting course. After personal research and with the help of my friends I incorporated the idea of pursuing an accounting degree, although the requirement for the same was quite high.

The high demand for professionals in the field of accounting has been on the increase, and accountants have great demand since they help to keep businesses solvent and also helps to make sure that the employees get a paycheck. The high demand for these accounting professionals made me pursue an accounting degree to tap on the vast opportunities in the accounting field. From my research, I came to realize that Accounting graduates had the possibility of securing employment within the first five months after graduating.

The Accounting degree was also highly applicable in real-life situations. I had a desire to study a course that could give me practical skills which I could later use to advance my professional career. I was also interested in doing a course that could help me create a good career prospect than seeking a job. To me, a career is something that could provide an opportunity for personal progression in the long-term.

There exist many graduate schemes for a degree in the accounting field, which I thought could give me a chance to work for a reputable company with a well- developed training program for job progression. I had always admired to become an auditor and work in different companies and corporations and gain relevant experience. Auditors help to secure assets by ensuring that internal procedures and regulations are okay by compiling them.

Throughout my school life, I had been performing exemplary well in subjects related to mathematics, economics, and commerce, and this was advantageous to me during admission to study accounting by the graduate admissions committee. The admission committee got satisfied with my ability to pursue the accounting course because of the good grades in mathematics, economics, and commerce reflected in my certificates and the self-discipline that I showed during training with the graduate admissions committee.

I developed a feeling that accounting was a dependable degree program because the demand for accountants would always be high, considering the high startup of businesses. The skills obtained during the study of the degree program could also be applied in many businesses in the accounting field. The knowledge from an accounting degree could also bring a chance to work in different industries in the business world either locally or any other country overseas. In my A-level education I had a great passion for mathematics and business courses, and I also performed extremely well after I did my final exams. Due to my good performance in my mathematics and pieces of advice I received, I thought of pursuing an accounting degree to facilitate my career progress.

After graduating with an accounting degree, I decided to work as a volunteer worker with an international social society as an accountant. Working in a global society helped me to grow my connection with other volunteer workers, something that helped me to grow my relationships with them in my career as an accountant.

Studying an accounting degree helped me to widen my career progression and business know-how to a great extent. With the knowledge of an accounting degree I would exploit all my childhood dreams of becoming a professional accountant and developing my skills and competencies in the same field. Progressing in my career path as a professional accountant would assure me of a good life.
