Introduction
Eating a well-balanced diet is more than significant especially when it comes to achieving ideal health throughout an individual's life. The food we take provides our bodies with a variety of constituents that include proteins, energy, minerals, fats, and vitamins. There are five major food groups that in this case encompass protein foods, fruits, vegetables, dairy, and grains. Each food group plays a distinct and significant role in the general healthy eating pattern.
When it comes to my food and calories consumed in the last two days, my meals mainly comprised of protein foods, dairy, and fruits. My diet in this case within the two days was abundant in red meat that relates to proteins and also rich in dairy products that in this case includes cheese, milk, and yogurt intake. With the fast food trends and addiction today, I was no exception to this modern day lifestyle whereby I routinely ordered foods such as pizza and burgers.
USDA advocates that by eating the recommended amounts of each food group and subgroups, individuals get in a better position to meet their nutritional needs and with little to no need to the dozens of the discrete nutrients. My diet in this particular case significantly translates a diet high in fats, proteins in this case red meat as well as salts and sugars. It is a diet that is undoubtedly low in fiber an essential and necessary component for the general well-being of an individual. Basically, fast food is terrible or somewhat detrimental food despite the enormous ignorance to its adversity especially when it comes to one's health. Majority of the meals served at the fast food restaurants for instance in my case, Milkshakes, Burgers, and Pizza have insane tons of fats, calories amounts that in this case also includes the extra evil trans fats.
Diet and nutrition is, therefore, a critical subject matter that ought to get addressed especially considering the consequences that come along with the unwavering ignorance of our diet trends. One of the significant implications is diseases that occur as a result of poor nutrition. For instance, in the case of fast foods, Obesity and Diabetes stand out as the key results of the repeated consumption of fast foods. The enormous amounts of calories and fats, in this case, lead to these conditions that consecutively bring forth diseases such as cancer, stroke and heart diseases. It is also factual that the world today is on a trend that highly upholds protein foods consumption an aspect that as well compromises an individual's health mainly due to the immoderate servings a day that most people take. From sugary drinks to proteins and fats, people end up addicted to these foods and often ignore or instead dismiss the necessity of incorporating other essential foods and nutrients such as fruits that are rich in vitamins and vegetables that are rich in fiber.

One of the viable solutions is through campaigns and unwavering support for healthy eating patterns. Foods high in calories and fats ought to stay moderated due to the adverse consequences that come along with their consumption in excess. A shift to healthier foods and beverage choices is also a recommendable remedy to the nutrition issue that gets achieved when individuals for instance switch to fat-free foods, go for seafood rather than fatty foods and ensuring that half their plates include fruits and vegetables.
