Introduction

Jesus was the son of Joseph, a carpenter who lived in Israel over 2000 years ago at the time of the Roman Empire. He taught people about God for three years his trial and eventual execution by the Romans. After centuries, his life experience has influenced art, music, literature, architecture works dedicated to honoring him. His teachings have also helped in the establishment of law, politics, and faith. For Christians, he was God and the awaited savior of Israel. Although Jesus died, Christians still have faith that he resurrected through God's power. The research addresses the trial of Jesus and facts about his resurrection.

The Trial of Jesus

Jesus received unfair trials based on the following evidence: First, his trial was concluded in a day. According to 'Mishna', the acquittal of a criminal case would last for only a day but the death sentence on the same criminal case can be concluded the following day, (Brumby and Clayton, 34). Secondly, Jesus was tied at the eve of an annual Sabbath which was against the law of Israel. Next, the trial of Jesus was held before Sunrise although criminal cases are to be acted on during the day, according to the Jewish 'Mishna', due to its magnitude. Lastly, his examination by Annas was done in a secret night proceeding which was against the law of Israel, (Wright and Brian, 41). Another person who received an unfair trial was Saddam Hussein who was convicted in the United States instead of International Criminal Court due to his international crimes,

Facts on The Resurrection of Jesus

According to Lindemann and Andreas, many verses in the Bible support that Jesus rose from death and ascended to heaven while alive, (pp. 557-579). For instance, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 lists people who saw Jesus after the resurrection. Again, in Luke 24:1-12, there is an explanation of his resurrection. However, secular scholars like Strobel believe that Christians only believe in miracles with little facts which I also concur with. There is no fact or witness to prove the resurrection of Jesus and the Bible alone that is prone to editing cannot prove it, (Bauckham and Richard, 114).

Conclusion

Jesus suffers innocently due to injustice compromised by authorities. But even as he dies he leaves the good news of salvation and promises that God has power over death hence his resurrection. This gives Christians hope of life after death.
