The population of Toronto has significantly grown in the last one decade leading to various benefits in Toronto (Lo, Shalaby, Eng & Alshalalfah, 2011). Population growth means that the people in the area will need more goods and services to sustain them as the increase in numbers (Schneider et al, 2011). The demand for various goods and services has significantly increased leading to more production and consumption. This aspect has led to an improved economy as well as social amenities (Peterson, 2017). One of the areas that have improved considerably as a result of the increased population is the transport sector. The increased numbers of peoples have pushed the development of the industry since there are more people to utilize the system. According to Buliung, Mitra, & Faulkner (2009), automobile use as the mode of transport to schools increased from 14.6% recorded in 1986 to 29.2% recorded in 2006. According to the authors, parents either drive their children to school while other use the school buses provided by distinct schools. These aspects are enabled by the improved transport infrastructure pushed by the demand brought by the increased population. Walking to school is now limited in Toronto leading to saved time by the students who use the time to concentrate on their studies translating to improved education. The numbers of immigrants have also contributed to the increased population in Toronto and the subsequent impact on the transport sector. A research by Lo et al (2011) agrees that the population increase which immigrants have significantly contributed to the growth has led to a higher usage rate of the transport sector and subsequent improvement. The income tax from the transport sector is the primary fund kit used in the development of the industry and as the population continues to grow, more development is likely to be witnessed (Buliung et al, 2009).

The increasing prices in Toronto have led to the development of strategies to acquire essential commodities that have improved the lives of the people of Toronto. Toronto has introduced policies that have established organizations to assist in getting vital commodities for the poor. Research by Coleman et al (2018) showed that lowered food price in Toronto has increased food security in the region. The authors assess the impact of FoodReach organization on the accessibility of food to poor communities. Between 2015 and 2016, the organization helped 50 communities access affordable food. FoodReach has exploited technology to educate the public on areas to get affordable food through an online portal that allows purchasing from various entities such as supermarkets. The organization also buys food under wholesale price and sells them to the poor communities at a lower price. In addition to access to affordable price, the public gets value for their money by getting fresh and nutritious food using lower price. The low price food from FoodReach happens to be the only fresh food poor people get at the affordable price (Coleman et al, 2018). This has dramatically improved other areas associated with nutrition. Health society will have an ideal workforce to contribute to the economy and at the same time lowered cost in the health sector since some diseases are prevented through nutrition. In essence, it is evident that the availability of low price commodities such as food has significantly improved the lives of many people in Toronto. The low prices ensure that everyone in society affords the basic needs thereby improving their standard of living.

Immigrants who have moved to Toronto have brought a variety of talents that occurs in various forms. While some of the talents have occurred in the form of acquired skills such as labor skills, some are in natural form like talents seen is sports and areas such as fashion design. The attractive nature of Toronto has led to the retention of these talents for a considerable period (Leslie & Brail, 2011). This could be the reason why the population of the immigrants has consistently increased for the last ten years. A study by Leslie & Brail (2011) on the quality state of the fashion design sector in Toronto reported that the industry has consistently improved over the years and immigrants have played a significant role in bringing diverse skills from their origin land while others have shown natural skills that have immensely contributed to the field of fashion design. These factors include coming up with new trends as well as improvement on the already existing modes through enhancement of creativity. Leslie & Brail (2011) points out that the designers have acknowledged that without the immigrants who have brought a vast area of skills, the sector of fashion design could not be where it is today. The fact that Toronto has embraced diversity, tolerance and cultural dynamism has played a significant role in attracting people from various backgrounds across the globe (Leslie & Brail, 2011). These reasons coupled with ideal migration policies could be the main reason accounting for the high number of immigrants in the region. Once these people arrive in an area, their decision to settle in that particular region and contribute through their talents is determined by the reception they receive. Thus, ideal reception like the one experienced in Toronto contributes in permanent settlement of immigrants that have long-term benefits in retaining talents that in turn contribute to the region's economy. In addition to the talents, Toronto has also benefited from human resource brought by the immigrants who are highly educated (Wald & Fang, 2008). These individuals work in various institutions in Toronto contributing to the labor sector in the region a factor that leads to an enhanced economy as well as improved living standards of people in the area.

Conclusion

Increasing population, prices and immigration have led to positive impacts on people's lives. Increased population has led to the presence of people to provide labor force and purchase commodities and services that in turn support the economy. Improvement of the transport sector is connected to the increased population. Prices of commodities have led to the development of strategies to provide essential commodities at an affordable rate while immigration has led to the introduction of new talents as well as educated people to the benefit of the entire society.
