Ursula Oberst and her colleagues co-authored the article to deduce the consequences of social networking in adolescence. They argued that massive social networking among adolescents in society had negative repercussions on their overall social character. They used questionnaires on negative consequences using mobile devices and a structural modeling technique to come up with their conclusions, which turned out to be in line with their hypothesis.
