Human trafficking by the Russia mafia started as early as 1700 when a group of Russians emerged. The grouped established a forum that violated the rights of the incapable but young looking individuals in forceful labor. The coercive force was made to include sexual practice in the 20th century as a way of the slave trade. According to Suarez (2016), Russian Mafia was made to be in the form of modern slavery since the Russian mafia involved the use of force, coercion, fraud and sexual exploitation as a way of using the vulnerable population. Russian Mafia was concerned with the violation of human rights through domestic servitude, non-consensual sexual exploitation, abusive sexual acts that happened without the victims' permission and forced labor.
Russian mafia made the trafficked population to be involved in pornographic film recording, prostitution, forced labor, escort work, etc. Forced labor by the Russia mafias consists in forcing the victims to engage in compelled work for an extremely long working hour (Suarez, 2016). The Russian mafia force the trafficked people to work in arduous conditions amid limiting the freedom of the trafficked individuals (Suarez, 2016). After the collapse of the Soviet Union, over sixty million Russians lived in poverty thus leading to human trafficking. Today, Russian mafias alongside other human traffickers contribute to about $32,000,000,000 industry. The industry acquires huge incomes through harboring and abduction.
Since the fall out of the Soviet Union, there have been tricks that have resulted in trapping incapacitated young boys and girls into sex ring trafficking in the plight of getting profits. The Russian mafia has grown to be a massive industry that collects vast amounts of money without being taxed (Suarez, 2016). The large population of the Russians who were affected by the economy and political instability brought about the growth of Russian mafia which is a threat to the judicial systems because of their multi-billion incomes.
Adams (Patrick) Case
Adams's (Patrick) story is a human trafficking tangle that is entangled in a voodoo and juju affair since the police mentioned that the boy as brutally skinned and molested. His blood was drunk to ensure that the traffickers could not be traced. Nigeria's Adams story was a unique one since the offenders could not be easily located (Hoskins, 2011). The forensic study was done to lay strategies towards finding the molesters of such a young soul. African ritual killings similar to that of Adams had happened early inn1960 thus showing that Patrick was a victim of Nigeria voodoo and juju affair. The incident portrays that the killing of animals and birds is typical for the intervention of the killers and their gods for medicine (Hoskins, 2011). The disappearance of Patrick is connected to a transnational alliance group since the forensic science was unable to trace the location of the traffickers.
Globalization and technology in Patrick's case portray that the cost of the investigation is the primary factor that prevents investigation to yield reasonable results. Trafficking is connected to economic challenges thus making the traffickers not to be traced. Patrick was skinned and sacrificed to juju and voodoo according to the investigation that was done (Hoskins, 2011). According to the YouTube video by Hoskins (2011), amputation and killing of Adam is a similar case that has been recorded in South Africa. All cases have been found to be connected to amputation and damping of the remaining body parts into rivers. Indeed, Adam's body was a case of human trafficking in connection to voodoo and juju.
