Introduction

The paper had an aim of analyzing a method of predicting behavior based on a given baseline of handwriting. From the article, there is behavior as the dependent variable and writing as the independent variable. The definitions of the variables take place in the introduction. The operationalization of the variables would have been done just before the opening. The hypothesis being tested is that there can be behavior prediction through handwriting analysis. The study deployed the use of cross-sectional study design.

Literature review

The paper does not give much explanation on the area of interest to the reader; neither does it give out a clear statement of the purpose of the review. New terminologies are however clarified, an example being graphology, defined as the analysis of handwriting. The themes in the literature review are however not grouped under different subheadings but are instead discussed under one unit. The flow of the review is also not sequential as there is no arrangement made with regards to the flow of the literature review. The author is not critical in his analysis. The reviewed literature was merely summarised without many comparisons. There are no made comparisons with other studies. The author does not point the solved gaps from the other literal works. There is, however, a summary for the entire review.

Methods

MATLAB as a tool was used for the analysis of the different handwritings. Five parameters of handwriting including the letter slanting and spacing were evaluated. There was, however, no evidence of a tested hypothesis from the methodology column.

Results

The plotted results show that the output equaled the desired output, an indication that the results were expected and supported the hypothesis. The statistical analysis of the use of a computer may however not be stated as 100% accurate bearing the fact that there could be several errors.

Discussion

The author notes that indeed there is a relationship between one's handwriting and their personality. I, however, feel that the author did not bring enough evidence to support this outcome. I expected to see the recommendations in the discussion, but he failed to give suggestions for gaps in similar research. The limitation of the study would be in the methodology. There could be a failure in the computer used for the analysis.

Introduction

The goal of the study was to find a link between the personality traits and how they manifest through handwriting in children. Children's personality is the dependent variable with handwritings being the independent variable.The hypothesis stated that there is no significant difference between personality traits and the children's handwriting.

Literature Review

The area of interest is thoroughly explained with the purpose of the study made evident by the researcher. There are however no clarified terminologies nor concepts. The author did not use subheadings to group the different themes. There was, however, sequential flow of the storyline of the various reviewed works. The author was critical in his review and even compared the different research works. The message from the reviewed literature is evident as the author brings a comparison of the various works. The investigation is however not brought together in summary.

Methods

Focused group discussions were held to find out more about the two variables. A simple random technique was used in issuing the semi-structured questionnaires to the various children of ages 8-12.The methods tested the hypothesis as the personality factor questionnaire was compared against the handwriting analysis, therefore bringing out the co-relation between the two variables.

Results

The p-value was found to be higher than 0.05 at 5% level of significance in all the aspects of personality, thereby supporting the stated null hypothesis. The results were therefore expected. The results are consequently accurate and justifiable based on the fact that the results from the two variables were statistically compared for uniformity.

Discussion

The research concludes that graphology may be used as an essential tool in assessing the personality trait in children. I, however, believe that different factors are interacting to create a given personality. Handwriting can therefore not be a key determinant of character. The limitation of the study is that children may not provide the final samples of handwriting as it changes as one grows. The researcher recommended other researchers to bring more scientific basis. I'd suggest that similar research is conducted on adults.

Introduction

The goal of the study is to analyze individual's traits based on the physiological traits, using the handwritten texts. A survey is used as the study design. The author, however, did not state the tested hypothesis.

Literature review

A few critical works were reviewed, and the author did not go beyond the summarization of these works. The literature review is discussed in continuous prose with no themes separated through subheadings. The storyline, however, has a smooth transition and with the intended information nicely relayed to the reader.

Methods

Fifty samples of handwritings are collected in A4 sized white sheets of paper. Brigg's and Kersey's are the two major personality theories used for the analysis of the results. The hypothesis was not tested given the fact that there was no comparison of the two entities in question.

Results

The result was as expected by the author. There was, however, no hypothesis tested. The statistical results are also not accurate since there was no measured fitness.

Discussion

The author did not make recommendations for future research. More analysis techniques for such results should be deployed in future research. The study had a limitation of handwriting futures.

Introduction

The goal of the study was to predict one's behavior through handwriting by the use of BPN. Human behavior is the dependent variable whereas the handwriting is the independent variable. The researcher did not mention the deployed study design; neither did he have an outstanding hypothesis.

Literature review

The purpose of the review is revealed as the author tries to bring out the importance of using a biometric person's recognition in predicting behavior. Some terminologies are defined within the review. The literature review, however, does not have any form of arrangement. The storyline does not have a smooth transition as it should be. The author does not go beyond the summarization of the other literal works.

Methods

BPN technique was used to obtain the results where the basic identification method graphics were used for the analysis. The results cannot be justified as accurate bearing the fact that the research design is unknown, the methodology is not stipulated, and there is no shown statistical analysis.

Discussion

The author concluded that handwriting analysis is critical for personality recognition. I expected the author to talk about behavior as indicated in the theme rather than the personality. The author recommended future research using different methods such as the Hidden Markov method.
