Maria attempting to commit suicide would have been the tragic end of the movie, but she did not, that was quite thoughtful. I love the mind of the producer. All this was impeccable and unpredictable. Every story these days has a happy ending, but back then, a happy ending did not matter most as long as there was a good story.
