Introduction

'Wednesday with Gordard' is a movie created to show how the main character believed that rain connected him to God. Jean-Luc Godard, who was a cinematic revolutionary fifty years ago was the producer of 'Wednesday with Gordard' because of his maddeningly elusive and magisterial opaque films that had a lot of dismantling and criticism in the cinemas. The film is all about a trip to planet Godard even though it is incapable of inspiring or sustaining human life. The essay will analyze the movie, 'Wednesday with Godard.'

In the film, Godard uses a barrage of images borrowed from movies such as 'Orphee,' 'Dr' Mabuse,' 'Anna Karenina,' and 'Johnny Guitar.' Alongside adding still photos and news footage, the author used assaultive sound collage to show the violent jumble of Western inhumanity and Western art. The footage of the film is fragmented into abrupt cuts, music, and dialogue so that the viewers can see the visibility of the colors and how they are saturated in an unrecognizable manner.

Even though the words spoken are in the English language, the subtitles are sometimes hidden to serve as commentary instead of translation. However, Godard uses uncharacterized vocabulary to unspool the initial narrative to make it a fictional film that lacks the news footage of the story of Sheikh Ben Kaded, even though this section dies not to have a catchy moral it makes people question if men in power today have anything rather than being bloody morons.

One of the most appealing aspects of the film is how it contrasts complexity and simplicity. The cartoonish, blocky human characters resemble nothing like the handwritten plants, fruits, and birds that appear on the landscape. Even though they seem clunky, the characters which appear in two dimensions opens a window of uncertainty and devastation which come with existential crisis and love lost. In other words, the film relays the complexity of life and love within five minutes. The film, in other words, shows all counts of aesthetic, theoretical, and historical views mentioned to show the clarity of his message. He did this by showing how playing with God with certain characters endowed his freedom.

The film draws a parallel between Bazin's and criticism to impose a spiritual perception that praises his works to fit his preconception. This is because Godard avoided using metaphysics. The artists use tools that show the perspective and morality of seeking out the truth. One of the most amazing scenes is the constant interruptions that split between the cinematography and the representation with its perforations, decomposition and unspooling scenes. For instance, Godard shows how he decides to look for God everywhere, including space, until the time he met the sun, which got angry at him. By digital means this means that rediscovering the area, the heavens and earth did not make him successful in finding God.

Even though Godard had good beginnings, the end became moody. For instance, when Godard went out to search for God, he met another woman who took her to the mountains to search for God. After spending one night in the tent, they decided to go higher until they reached the sun. Due to its anger, the sunburnt the lady away because they went to a place they were not supposed to visit. The filmmaker uses colors that present various moods in the film. For instance, green symbolizes peace. However, when he went outside the colors changed due to harsh weather conditions.

Besides the visual Menard designs, the films have notable elements of detailed pencil drawings of background and foreground element to make the contrast destructive. I find the tightness of the display to be visually written because one does not need sound or words to understand the film. Godard economically designed the characters. For instance, sometimes they have hands, and sometimes they don't. In this case, they popped out like the swiss-army knife. The change of color in the film shows the difference between the good times and the black times. For example, the author woke and found rain. The background color used in th film was dark grey to show that the weather is not favorable.

The characters on the hand make viewers learn from cel-animation. For instance, the cell animation had clear outlines and solid colors that appeared on top of the painted background. This means that the character animation was a Photoshop to make characters and background to complement each other contrast. The voiceover was hard to notice because it was Godard's first time to produce such as film. The technique of the film supports the theme because of the lack of sound. This is seen at the beginning of the film. During the introduction, slow sweet music was used to attract the audience. Later the music was put off to make the audience understand the movie.

Conclusion

The reason why I chose this film is to show people that God works with faith and trust. This means that even though the weather might change anytime, no one unless God can make it stable. An example of how Godard's friend was destroyed after they went to the mountain to search for God.
