Introduction
Making my ways through The Art Institute of Chicago was the most experience I have ever encountered. Driving and exploring through the Museum, I was inclined an impressed with the logical organization of artistic work involved. My first ever impression was, "wow; the Museum looks pretty cool, it might have cost a lot of money". Moreover, I was further fascinated with the theme park logical arrangement of the picture in the large room. Notably, the artwork has always been my passion since I enjoy touring and visiting various museums to explore how modern and traditional artistic works were developed. Therefore, the paper aims to explore my visit and experience at The Art Institute of Chicago and gives a personal reflection concerning the experience.,
I embrace painting and drawing, thus increasing my quest of exploring many museums. This time around, I was a privilege to tour in one of the most famous Museums in the United States, the Art Institute of Chicago. I began to have a feeling that I had fallen prey of the notion that, ‘facts are no longer an issue for the construction of realism’. I felt inclusively unnerved with how fairly large number of patrons were guiding a large number of visitors in the Museum. Indeed, this was the right place to be. The adventure in the Museum was uncompromised beginning from warm reception to the showrooms. The environment of the Museum already gave me a clear picture of what to expect in the paintings and drawing. It was a beautiful scenery indicating the beauty of the blend of both contemporary and traditional artwork. The Museum has a different location with different categories of artwork.
I explored almost all the sections, including the American art section. The section brought together art that depicted the culture of the American through its artists- the likes of Edward Hoppers Nighthawks and the American Gothic. I single out two arts – Nighthawks and Gothics that have been in the Museum for over a century. The art represented an impressive ordeal of the American tradition architectural work (Alexander 6). Moreover, I got exposed to the architecture and designs section which was so fascinating with multiple appealing architects and designs. From this section, I came to learn that most of the current building and construction designs we admire in the modern times. What impressed me the most was Frank Lloyd Wright's art through his creativity (Lloyd et al 1029). In the photography section, I had a chance to interact with photographic work that dates back to the 1940s.
There were over 20,000 works, each of which demonstrates a particular aspect of photography. As a fan of photograph work, the section made me appreciate the efforts that the art industry has put in improving the clarity, the angle among other aspects of photography such as resolution. That notwithstanding, the prints and drawings, I was full of confidence that I was in the right profession where my capabilities, hobbies, and talents will be upheld. In sum, the visit to the museum was not only fascinating but also a clear creation of my career success. The whole experience made me have an intense quest to develop and contribute to the artistic world—moreover, the experience created in me the need for creativity. I wanted to make a difference in the artistical industry. I recognized the input and design techniques that can enable me to come up with something concrete. Indeed, I would love again to visit the museum with a piece of my artwork to be mapped on the wall.
