The Olympics and World Cup, therefore, are currently dominant sporting events that have gained fame in almost all the countries around the globe. The prevalence of the internet and availability of television has made sports an attractive avenue that unites people from different walks of life. Those who are not involved physically in the Olympics and world cups play video games and fantasy leagues that they watch on TV, making them get involved in the sport in one way or the other (Dunnin 2018). This unites the society. The participants in the Olympics and world cup are currently having celebrity status, which shows how seriously sporting events have improved in the ranks of social events.

The other roles the world cup games are that they bring people together, and it allows people to escape the stress of their daily lives so that they can join and celebrate when their countries participate in sports (Dunnin 2018): Countries that host sporting events such as the Olympics and World Cup boost their economies through tourism and revenue coming from these events. Despite different levels of the environment, what gives every individual in Society a different form of a story that is shared through specific goals and behavior.

What was your favorite story from a recent Olympic or World Cup games?

My favorite story from the recent Olympic or World Cup game is the humble culture that was displayed by the Korean National Team and their people during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. This was one of the most recognizable moments of the World Cup after players and travelers from Korea decided to get involved in the sport through actively participating in community work. The visitors from Korea showed a specific character by deciding to clean all the fields of play after every match. This behavior shows the character of the Korean people of humble work, and nature and the country have been known for. Despite losing at the quarter-finals, the country became popular for this activity Mand it made other people from around the globe to recognize the country for what it was.

Conclusion

In summary, sports have been used to pass cultural influence between one country and the other. The actions of the Korean national team, together with their citizens who had traveled to Russia, demonstrated that individuals could use sports to pass on good messages and human characteristics.
