People communicate in various ways these days, but most are through electronic devices. The social media has been a great platform to chat and socialize and meet new people. There are private communications that one can make through a phone call, one can Skype online in the visual and audio appeal, but the most common one today is the WhatsApp video calls. People can text privately in WhatsApp messages but also send a message to several people by creating a group chat. Facebook and Twitter are the most prominent platforms in social media, where people communicate. Most people in this era have mobile phones and are in social media.

Communication has evolved, the means through which people communicate has changed very many aspects of human life. The technology and ways of life were very different from 10 to 15 years back. The era of the phone was being introduced, but not many people were able to access them. There were telephone lines that people would use at home but were not as effective as the mobile phone. The message would take long to reach the next person, by use of letters and face. Now through the mobile phone, the news and feedback are instant. In the cases where people were sent to deliver messages, sometimes the message got distorted. Still, the message holder can get to the receiver instantly through the phone and provide the message as they wanted it to be, and get the right feedback. Sending emails and letters was a way of communication those days, but now it is hard to write a letter to someone. People would also travel to meet up and pass messages. The smartphone has made things easier as one can get in touch with anyone from any corner of the world at any given time. It is fast and effective.

Interactions have changed, and people have grown apart. In the earlier day, communication was done face to face but now prefer to call and text. Though there is no strong bonding like more previous with phones, communication is more often. People have gotten used to the fact, and it has become a way of life. Through the digitalized form of communication, there are a lot of errors that happen, like sending the wrong mail or message to the wrong person.

In early childhood, the capacities for learning and upcoming skills of communication support their crucial development. Children who communicate their thoughts are easy to understand and are also easy-going with other children. The new forms of communication have made it challenging to contain youth and adolescents because they are secretive and hard to predict. Mobile phones and social media are a way of planning things quickly without the parent detecting anything. The new forms of communication might have negative or positive effects on an individual according to how they decide to use them. There are several useful methods of communication. The youth can get help faster through the different effective channels. One might be shy to seek advice, but through phone calls, text messages, and emails that do not require face to face interaction with the youth they can.
