Introduction

The race is an important topic that needs to be addressed due to its sensitivity and misconception behind it. Race can be termed positively as the expression of the diversity and uniqueness of the human race. If taken from that perspective race diversity is a powerful tool to expand and grow the society. The United States will be the most advantageous due to its enormous diversity. However, to the contrary, the race difference has bred hatred and discrimination in the united states. Topic race when exhaustively discussed has a potential to bring down the aspect of the negative racism.this is because when addressed from the perspective of ''why do we practice it'' it will be hard to defeat racism whatsoever.

The topic race is an issue that is affecting the United States greatly. It has impacted the country significantly in all aspects of life including social economical and even political aspect. It's important to understand the loss the country is going through due to this grotesque animosity that holds the destiny of the country hostage till now. Not only the loss is recorded in terms of tangible loss but also nominal losses that can be termed as psychological or even social.

It's quite unfortunate that the modern society still finds the issue not really approachable.in fact, most of the Americans opt not to talk about whatsoever given the sensitivity that the issue carries with it. the interview conducted by new york times to the whites on their view towards race. amongst the five only one looked at the race from the positive perspective she felt the topic would be positive if it involves giving the advantages of being white. Most of them opting not to talk about the issue whatsoever.one of the interviewee cited that she felt uncomfortable with the topic( 0.23 sec/).others could not about it because they could not wish to hurt anybody.one of them actually described the topic as 'touchy'.

Realistically, Political decisions are based on the radial segments. Socially the country has fragmented and actually not been able to realize co-existence and tolerance to every member irrespective of the race. Economically, racism has affected job attachments and hiring. The good environment that seeks to accommodate everybody everywhere is a dream that is not yet realized. The United States has a long way to go to see the cohesive and involuntary co-existence due to various obstacles that have been blocking the dream from being realized. However, according to Christine long, the language and communication is a powerful tool that can either be used to build or destroy the relations. From that perspective, it is very correct to see the ability of communication as a tool to lower the racial temperatures. Language use is also very essential at any level of communication given that they can initiate peace amongst the communicators or fuel the animosity too.

Speaking out not only help the victims heal but also caution the society of the norms and virtues that are tolerable for the coexistence. It's a way of the victim to put across the pain that is troubling them. Through speaking out racist knows the wrath of the victimized race and therefore knows what to change.

It is evidently clear from the article by Christine Long that racism is basically the expression of what we loathe about the next race expressed verbally. The expression is relative based on the relationship between the parties. Christine thought that he could not be affected by the use of the chink(word used to refer to Chinese) at least not from the other races. He felt that his case was different from that of African Americans. They would feel offended by the other race referring to them as niggas but had no problem with the same word used amongst them. However, it was not long before he found a smeared paper bearing the word chink and the pain was from the feeling that somebody has used that hateful word to insult her own father. It's due to the intention of using the word, not the word itself(Christine par 4 pg 494).

His experience as the minority race in their suburban was characterized by discrimination. This is an issue with the least populated race in a given locality within the United States, for example, this discrimination from Caucasian to the Chinese. The racial segregation can be attributed to the pain. this pain is experienced and felt across the united states.

This sensitive subject needs to address because of its impact on American society. Whites have their perspective and their reason for that perspective. Latinos too are affected by racism and this has defined their perspective of racism and they too have the reason for their perspective. African-American has experienced racism too and they bear pain as a victim the side of their story if expressed can raise the important points that will help in the discussion of the topic race.

The topic has affected society at large. Affecting , the minor and major groups in the society. Women, in particular, has faced a lot and perhaps would appreciate any chance given for them to express their view. Women have been much affected by racism.in the interview conducted on Dec 3 by new york times. According to one of the interviewee the issue of race need to be addressed. Racism has affected woman and their self-esteem.it's important to remember that a woman is affected by racism more. she is a mother to most victim bullied in school. she too is affected by external and internal issues( NY times,0.5 sec)

In fact, most black women have confessed to having been discriminated on the basis of facial look despite their professionalism and ability to deliver in their area of expertise. The fact that Christine was able to learn the best way to cope with that situation . By taking the racism positively and used it strengthen the bond between the two. It is impossible to deal with the racism completely and exhaustively. It's therefore advisable to sensitize the victimized to realize the attacker's intention is to hurt and degrade one's status. Thus the best way to win in the situation is to feel wonderful instead, against the attacker's intention. Therefore it will be necessary to learn the art of perseverance. Gloria Naylor in his article ''the meaning of the word'' illustrates how the African -American community took the word nigger and used it positively amongst themselves( Naylor, Gloria par 5 1986).

Though Gloria had her first experience with nigger as offensive she later had experience of her own people the African-American use the word for the man who has distinguished himself in a situation where he proved excellence or outstanding character. Sometimes he would hear women refer to their boyfriends as nigga as the word of the endearment. What whites had intended to use and bring the aspect of uselessness and worthless was turned into something that they(African -American) could use to complement each other( Naylor, Gloria par 4 1986)..

All this has proven that it is the only the language that matters. Society has to embrace their diversity and sometimes that diversity will be expressed in a way that it might sound like a mock to the party addressed. the best way to live amongst others is not to address what they think you rebut to prove that you are what you know you are.

However, the topic on race can be critical and to many people, it might not be clear enough to some who are struggling to understand where they fall. New York times conducted an interview on latino. their perception of the race topic was interesting. Latino can be from any race or combination of the race. A Latino interviewee when asked how do they they view themselves diverse responses were recorded with some citing themselves as ''ni de Aqui ni de alla'' meaning am not here nor there( NY times, conv with latino, 1.26 sec). However the superiority was on the basis of how light the skin is with some experiencing the racial attacks due to their blackness. the most unfortunate thing about racism is that it spreads through the negative commentary passed carelessly and then this vice of negative racism is spread now. Introduction of the topic of race would allow the Latinos to understand their diversity and appreciate it as the phenomenon or the people who are meant to be the connector of the two races i.e whites and African American(NY times, conv with latino,6.14 sec).

The United States recorded the highest number of multiracial with about 7.300 million people as now the number has risen fast. According to the New York Times these people have issues in aligning to their culture it, therefore, needs the effort to revive and influence the culture.

the foundation of the co-existing community. This helps the people to understand their originality, diverse traits, and their uniqueness. The topic will help people to understand what they are. The validation and happiness come from within self ( NY times,BMA,5.30 seconds).

Conclusion

In conclusion, the topic on race will help to address the issue affecting and undermining the coexistence especially in the united states of America. the race topic will help make the country cohesive hence improving the synergy that will consequently Shelps to catapult the growth and development in the united states.
