Introduction
With the emerging trend on building information technology in the field of construction over the past five years, a numerical building has evolved to a broader role and fully accepted for a project life series management (Ali et al., 2016). The pressure of cost competition and the need for technology enhancement together with the increasing quality requirements have been the driving force for numerical simulation in the construction Industry. The range of applications covers the entire phase of construction and engineering process simulation technique. Some of these applications include virtual project management, the computer-aided estimating system in construction management and 5D modeling and analysis (Latiffi et al., 2015)
Virtual project management in BIM can be referred to as complex work of construction implementation (Hosseini et al., 2016). Its stages revolve around conceptual of a 3D design, modeling using the 3D design, procurement tracking of project organization and marinating of project link between 3D model and projects data. In addition, it will assist the skilled workforce on their pilot project to achieve their goals.
Kushwaha & Adhikari (2016) states that Computer-aided estimating system in construction plays a vital role in BIM. It is based on building Information modeling concepts that interconnect with the structural design to accomplish the timing schedule. Besides, its purpose is to automate the economic part by evaluating expenditures at any stages of the project.
Finally, 5D model analysis refers to the constant mutual collaboration to ensure the project participant is the central cohesive ineffective management of construction project using 5D modeling concept. The result of the idea is to evaluate 3D information model of the building (Harun et al., 2016)
Conclusion
In conclusion, the growing trend of using BIM has grown significantly in the improvement of the engineering sector and pilot project. This because of low research due to the advanced information technology in the usage of the three main applications. Therefore, the construction industry should make use of this concept as it saves on time and eccentrics.
