According to me, technology commercialization is the process in which a business or an individual turns an idea to businesses then later to jobs. Technology commercialization is essential to the current world since most of the countries currently lack employment opportunities. Furthermore, it plays a significant role in economic development because it transfers ideas from individuals minds to the marketplace. In the past, I knew that commercialization is the process where new products or even services are brought to the market. My understanding now is still the same though I have a deeper understanding of the issue of commercialization. I have now understood that apart from the involvement of marketing, production, sales, and distribution, the customer support is also required in achieving the success of new product or service introduction.

Through this subject, I was able to learn that one should be proud of the idea he or she has and even go ahead to implement it if the resources are available. Anyone can come up with a business and technology idea that when executed can create job opportunities for people. In the past, I only believed that the people who are working in technology companies or business are the ones who have business ideas, but now I understand the issue differently. Through this class of technology commercialization, my understanding changed on the issue as I learned that it is essential for one to identify the value of discovery. The value should be both commercial and scientific because the step helps in knowing the customers who are willing to pay for technology. Moreover, I learned the essence of protecting an idea since other people can sell the invention.

While moving forward, I will mainly embrace teamwork. I am not a person who easily interacts with people. However, through the technology commercialization class, I will prefer to work in teams since different ideas are brought. When one has a useful invention and expertise on the team, then a project becomes more viable. Most of the investors usually want an assurance that there is the required expertise in executing an individual's plan. Although technology commercialization is difficult, I will try to use what I have learned in growing the ideas I have in the area which can help in the creation of job opportunities in the community.

I have a different perspective on commercialization. I thought that it only entails introducing new products or services to the market. However, I now understand that the new services or products can help in the process of solving some of the pressing problems we face in life. Additionally, I have learned that commercialization can assist in incremental improvements of the business and consumers effectiveness in several domains. For entrepreneurship, I have learned that for one to be a successful entrepreneur that he or she should have self-confidence, independent thinking, passion, optimism, vision, focus, and action-oriented. These are the main elements that can enable an entrepreneur to succeed. Through technology commercialization class, I was able to understand that innovation engineering entails having the required methods and tool needed to create, communicate, and commercialize important ideas.

The first team dynamic I learned is identifying a leader who will play a significant role in guiding us on the different activities that we accomplished. We were also able to establish the role and responsibilities of every team member which allowed us to match people's capacity in completing project tasks. Using our set goals and objectives, we were able to know the projects that we should give priorities. Therefore, these team dynamics enabled me to like the issue of teamwork though in the past I only loved working on projects individually.

Person A: I would give him A-. He was the leader of our groups. He also maintained order in the group and ensured that every team member actively participated in the discussions. Through this, we were able to accomplish our tasks perfectly and on time.

Person B: I will give him grade A since he actively participated in the different activities that we were given. He would also help the other members accomplish the tasks they were given meaning he was knowledgeable on the area.

Person C: I would give her grade C+ since she helped us accomplish several tasks. However, when every person was given a task, she would not complete hers on time which made us help her accomplish hers.
