Generally, the rise of Tea party can be regarded as beneficial for the Republican Party when it offers its support to a member who has a strong base within the GPO. However, the Tea party can also be detrimental if in any case, it endorses a political candidate who is not favored within the GPO. This is likely to result into a split of votes in the number of registered Republican voters and even disunity within the party. However, I would recommend to the Tea Party to associate closely with the Republican Party henceforth to establish their fan base. For a very long period, they have managed to normalize their racist and nationalistic magniloquence enough to develop a strong base even though all that has been achieved under the pretext of the Republican Party. This aspect has been portrayed by the success with pushing a candidate who is registered under the Republican Party during campaign season. Honestly, the Tea Party should stand alone as an official party in the next Presidential election if it continues with its current strategies and also given the manner in which the current president has unabashedly pushed the obscene rhetoric of the party to the public. This is likely to earn the party a robust base of voters who would be willing to support a candidate of the Tea Party.

According to the opinion poll results by a 2014 Texas Tribune poll on the influence of Tea Party on the Republican Party, only 34 percent were of the opinion that Tea Party had too much power. Just 19 percent were of the idea that their level of influence was fair and 26 percent of the respondents thought that Tea Party did not have much impact. According to this opinion poll survey, 40 percent of voters in Texas were of support for a familiar democratic candidate for the Congress whereas 53 percent were for the support of Republican candidate for Congress. This implies that only 7 percent of the voters were left who ultimately decide elections. Even though the Republican Party enjoy the advantage of their control of state government which makes it equally difficult for Democrats to win statewide, the Tea Party movement can still emerge competitive because it has begun to win state legislative competitions and even some statewide contests. In summary, America should have more than two political parties because the rigidity of American politics is the primary reason for its failure because it has locked the American people into different political camps. Additionally, having more than two political parties would is likely to offer a solution to the frustrations of the libertarians, communists and the anti-Trump fundamentalists (Schmitt).
