Introduction

The Sunday Blues laws do not violate the first amendment. To begin with, the Sunday laws helps to preserve and protect the Sabbath day according to the commandment in the Bible that says "obey the Sabbath day and keep it holy." It proscribes most labor during the Sabbath day. People are given the opportunity to practice their religion without any restrictions whatsoever freely. Prohibition of selling some items such as alcohol, sex toys, and pornographic materials on Sundays helps to keep the day holy. It helps to prevent people from engaging in immoral acts during the Blessed day.

Secondly, the Sunday Laws also serve a secular purpose as it helps to establish a day of resting. People can recover from whole week labor and prepare themselves physically and mentally for the new week's work ahead of them. Sunday laws provide a uniform day for resting for all citizens regardless of the religion one is affiliated to and not only Christians get to enjoy the day (Han et al.,2016). The state also gets to achieve its secular goals as the government officials get to stay out of the office during that day.

Lastly, Sunday blue laws help to protect children from social vices such as drug abuse and sexual immorality. The liquor stores in many states get to be closed on Sundays and since the kids, while being out of school on Sundays then they get no opportunity to buy and take alcohol. Also, the sex store being closed makes it impossible for the children to access the toys and pornographic materials. Also, since both parents and children are home, they get to spend the day together and bond as a family and talk about their issues out.

No Establishment of Religion. Funding All Student Organization.

During the funding of the students' organizations in the university, there should be fairness and equality from the officials during the whole process. Each university student organizations groups have different needs and wants and require financial aid to help meet their needs and daily operations. These needs and wants vary based on the size of the organization and also the level of activity of the groups. Therefore, they should be funded based on the needs and scope of their organizations.

The Sixlane university is not violating the first amendment. First, it funds the students' organizations based on their sizes. Small clubs receive $500 while large clubs receive $1000. These help the clubs to comfortably meet their daily operations and satisfy their member's needs. By doing so, no secular student organization can complain of a lack of transparency and favoritism during the funding process. It makes the organizations have confidence and feel connected to the school and can spend the funds wisely in all their activities.

Secondly, the Sixlane university is giving an equal share of cash $750 to all the religious organizations. No religious organization can complain about being less as compare to the other since they are all given an equal share. The religious organizations then become productive in doing religious activities as they have equal opportunities to contribute socially to the school and ensure their prosperity. Equality gives the spiritual organization confidence to carry out their activities with ease since they are not disadvantaged economically.

Free Exercise of Religion. Scooter Wants Time Off.

Business organizations are made up of employees from different ethnic, religion, and racial background. Employers need to consider such wide diversity at the work environment and ensure that no employee is discriminated. Also, ensure that they are given the freedom to observe and take part in their various religious holidays (Krahnke & Hoffman.2016). Employers who deny their employees the right to celebrate their religious holidays tend to risk their business or their jobs as well. Also, employees should not misuse the opportunity to ask for unreasonable demands off their employers. Based on the information provided, I pick to approve some of the scooter's claims but not all of them.

To begin with the first demand. It is illegal to be under the influence of any hard drugs while in the place of work. Therefore, the principal can deem it fit to fire Mr. Scooter from school after the drug test results are brought to his attention. Religious beliefs are one thing compared to work policies and ethics (Krahnke & Hoffman.2016). Therefore, the court cannot approve on the demand of Mr. Scooter not being fired, and that is based on the employer to employee work agreement that they had.

In addition to that, the employer cannot deny the employee time off to go and attend to a religious holiday. Provided that the employee has requested permission to participate in the ceremony early enough to give time for the employer to plan for the workload of the other employee during his absence. However, the employee is not subjected to pay during the time off while attending to the religious event unless the employee is given the day off by the employer. Therefore, the court orders that Mr. Scooter be given time off attend to his religious celebration without pay during his time off work.
