Different factors push offender to continue with criminal activities once they have engaged in the first crime. The attitude towards crime among criminal groups is a factor that propagates crime. In criminal gangs' circles, they find satisfaction in engaging in crime. Majority of the criminals derive satisfaction in torturing others and subjecting them in psychological pain. These attitudes will persuade the offender to participate in crimes that are similar to the initial crimes they committed. It is difficult to address these factor since criminal gangs live in hiding and are difficult to bring to an end their ideologies. Anti-social values and anti-personality are the other factors that promote engaging in criminal activities for the second time (Patterson, DeBaryshe & Ramsey, 2017). The anti-social behavior can be blamed on poor upbringing, or the values individuals develop as they grow up. These things can force people to justify crime and continue with criminal offenses on unsuspecting members of the public.

Individuals who engage in prostitution have a poor financial status which forces them to engage in this activity to raise more money. As long as they have to meet their bills, they find it justifiable to engage in prostitution. Lack of jobs in society means that individuals must exploit alternative sources of income to support their needs. The other factor is the failure to report cases of assault to the relevant authorities (Bartol & Bartol, 2014). The fear of victimization by law enforcement agencies forces the victims from not reporting offenders. These factors have created justification for criminal behavior among the offenders as they argue that no action will be taken against their behavior. A combination of these factors has seen the crime in this profession going unpunished. Besides, victims have resorted to taking action on their own without involving the relevant authorities. As long as these activities continue to happen outside the watch of the public, crimes will continue to be on the rise.
