Introduction
Decent and upright families are made from a responsive approach, responsive relationships among the family members with children. Any critical interaction between the children and adults makes the growth of the toddlers to be magnificent and responsible. When truly responsive relationships are embraced hence is making the pure heart of daily undertakings with the young ones. Regular sensitive care for children gives more learning materials to toddlers and children. Sometimes actions are needed to pass a caring response to the kids and young ones from their elders. It is only simple interactions that make all sorts of good examples of responsive care. The overall growth and development of a child are vitally contributed by sensitive caring from the adults, as illustrated herein.
Family-Child Relationship
Infants and toddlers, when growing, tend to learn more about their environment by interacting with whatever is around them. Interactions with the environment around the children give them time and knowledge to understand their surroundings. The life of toddlers and infants with their families is essential as it shapes their emotional and social development (McMullen, 2017). In interactions with family members helps the toddlers and infants to learn life-skills that it is needed in their growth life. It is growing together with family members were the toddlers and infants start to feel connected with the family and make them have identity and sense of belonging to particular family culture. When interacting with family members, the toddlers and infants learn the family ways and cultural practices of that specific family. It is all these interactions with family members that relate the infants and toddlers with each other and relate them with the rest of the world (Wortham, 2006).
For example, Triza, mother of 2-year old Melvin, while holding his hand as they walk slowly and gently. He was smiling at each other as an indication of the existence of peaceful and enjoyable interaction. Melvin says, "Mmamama," as Triza responds with "mmamama" as at this point, Melvin giggles as he says, "mmama. dad" making Triza repeat words "mmama.dad" this exercise tackles several repetitions showing delighted of the exchange. The mother is helping Melvin to develop his language. This warm, responsive relationship helps make Melvin develop a strong sense of effectiveness and encouragement in communicating, which will make the boy Melvin try again and again.
Care Giver-Child Relationship
The caregiver is responsible for developing respectful and responsive relationships of toddlers and infants in their care centers. Caregivers are mandated to give care to toddlers as human beings but not as objects to ensure respect is highly maintained among them (toddlers and infants). Caregivers can do such things as what they are doing and why they are doing it to enable the toddlers and an infant to understand is a way of promoting respect (Recchia, & Fincham,2019). The caregivers, for instance, can low their voice to that level of the kids and toddlers to match this promotes unity and the same feeling between the toddlers and the caregiver's hence promoting peace.
For example, one-year-old Teddy sitting on the floor playing with his toy car. Ms. Caren, his caregiver, passes, and he stretches his hand towards her, showing interests to be picked up. When his caregiver picks him up and smiles with him, it creates a powerful trust and feeling of togetherness and care, and this enhances the moral and social development. This makes teddy feel having the right person to meet his needs whenever need be.
