Introduction
The memo to Biotech human resources director has some positive aspects in that it has the basics of the memo. The memo identifies the subject of the memo and the origin of the memorandum which plays a significant role in ensuring a flow in communication because a breakdown in communication could hinder the objective of the memo from being achieved. At the beginning of the memo, the author identifies why the memo is being written which is the need to change the organisation leadership job announcement (Slutsky & Sardegna, 2018). The memo identifies the Biotech and Life Products changes that require a change in the type of leaders recruited to lead the organization as well as the breakdown in communication. Besides, the memo gives a brief historical view of leadership approach in the organization and how leadership has changed over time and also gives an overview of the expectations of today's Biotech leadership needs.

Leadership competency refers to the skills and suitability of leaders to lead an organization based on the current circumstances (Aldrin & Gayatri, 2014). Leadership competency should be used in the memo to identify what is lacking in the current organization leaders and future leadership expectations.
Leadership Effectiveness
Leadership effectiveness seeks to establish the ability of the leaders to lead employees towards achieving organizational goals and the ability to sustain leadership initiatives (Aldrin & Gayatri, 2014). The memo should determine the effectiveness of the proposed leader's characteristics and the effectiveness of the current leaders regarding productivity and rally employees behind the organization goals.

Situational Leadership
The response in the memo should provide suggestions on the new leadership traits and competencies that are expected to be included in the announcement. Situational leadership is a necessary approach to leadership in the modern Biotech operating environment which needs leaders to adapt to a different organization and industry needs (Aldrin & Gayatri, 2014). All aspects of situational leadership should be addressed in the announcement because the organization needs both creative, charismatic, technology savvy, participative and transformative leaders to be able to meet the changing leadership needs (Gandolfi & Stone, 2017). Besides, the memo should be brief and more precise which will help to articulate the needed changes more easily.
