Introduction
My true color as per the PD handout is -------. My top two characteristics are temperament and decisiveness. My top two likes are good poetry and soft rock. With regard to needs, my two primary needs are peace of mind and happiness. My top two skills are computing acumen and apt communication skills. With regard to strengths and weaknesses, my most outstanding strengths are the ability to multitask and timeliness. Impatience and a short temper are my top weaknesses.
How Will I Use My True Colors as a Leader?
The first and obvious way to inspire people is sharing a clear vision and goal(s). As it is said, vision excites people. Thus all the colors should share a singular and unambiguous meaning of the vision or goal at hand. Second is through clear communication with all the colors. This is divided into communication between the leadership of the colors and the members in the different colors and secondly, communication between the membership of the different colors. Both directions of communication have to be effective for there to be credible leadership and worthwhile accomplishments. In addition to communication is providing a healthy workspace for the different colors to work in. Ergonomic work conditions are a necessity to any great organization. Lastly, I would provide opportunities for development for the different members of the colors.
Myers-Briggs Personality type. Score, Description & Opinion
I wholly agree with the description of the Myers-Briggs personality test type. From the information on the website, my personality is ENTJ as shown above. There seems to be no information that I'm at conflict with, the information present describes me well. I am very objective, a planner, goal oriented and focused on improving both of others and of myself. In agreement with the description, the scores above show that I have a preference for thinking over feeling, implying that I'm oriented towards action rather than thought.
What Can I Offer an Organization?
As per the "all types are equal" assessment, I have the following to offer to an organization; outwardly directed energy needed to move into action, Responsiveness to what is going on in the environment and lastly a natural inclination to converse and to network. With regard to personality interpretation, I believe I will bring a versatile individual, able to make tough decisions in short periods of time and under high pressure. In addition, the inclination to extroversion ensures I am in tune with most if not all of the employees in an organization.
Jobs That Suit My Personality
I feel the ideal career for my personality type is as a lawyer, events' organizer or a public relations officer. A lawyer because the majority of a lawyer's work is behind-the-scenes, usually communicating with judges, clients, and colleagues, investigating legal matters, drafting legal documents and collecting evidence. An events' organizer because of my sociable and friendly character, which is a key part of being an extrovert and these abilities are vital when communicating with customers on a daily basis. A public relations officer because, there is no room for shyness when one has the role of handling the public image of an organization, as an extrovert, I am devoid of shyness.
