Introduction
I have been intrigued with a lot of subjects in my life, which encouraged my inquisitiveness. My curiosity has no known bounds as I research deeper on anything that fascinates me, and builds much interest in it. I have always had the drive to discover the complicated issues. In basic school, I started to distinguish specific outlines such as the best snacks were first to go, the changing in the shape of the moon each week and thin, dark clouds symbolized rain.
At a young age, I watched Hayao Miyazaki movies which I related to the in-depth philosophy of East Asia. I discovered the writings of Haruki Murakami which enhanced my writing. In improving my literacy abilities, I focused on reading initially young adult pieces of literature and imaginary fiction and support from Csikszentmihalyi, Branden, Dostoevsky, and Kafka. It was my part of the world that is internal, tempestuous, tranquil and nuanced. It enabled me to write my initial book in fifth grade, second in seventh grade and third in the ninth grade.
I researched in high school through connecting ideas of different topics. PEMDAS developed my understanding of appositive expressions and the influencers for uprisings resembling biochemical isotopes technically dissimilar with identical characteristics. Also, I developed an interest in complex biology systems, animation intricacy and the distinctions of linguistic. They developed an intriguing, fresh perspective on the world with concepts such as evolution and color theory. I had an ever-fluctuating intellectual appetite which created a varied career aspiration ranging from illustrator, biochemist to a stand-up comedian.
Talentwise, I was right in basketball which improved my leadership skills and life experiences. As I grew up, all I knew was basketball which filled my summers. I became the team captain of most of the squads I played for. It defined one of my worlds which was outward, aggressive, noisy and invigorating. However, my teammates questioned my stand wondering why I participated in many extracurricular activities.
Academically, I have an incredible performance achievement as I got A+ in my secondary school admission test in China, and my final grade is above six percent. I have worked to improve speech and the arts. I directed a drama, got the best actress and best director of a show. Through directing and acting in the Taming the Shrew drama, I faced several difficulties but ultimately, we managed to figure it out successfully. I have received various distinctions and awards including, first prize in Guangxi Chemistry Competition and third prize in the Math Innovation Cup
I was also involved in a weeklong friendly exchange in Japan as a member of the China-Japan Afforestation International joint venture Chinese High school student delegation. The assignment was to stay with grandparents to experience real life in Japan. The lesson from experience was priceless. The elders were energetic just like the young and said that age is not a restriction to continue living. The experience made me optimistic and improved my people skills with communication and connection with new friends. I learned how to find common grounds and topics like engaging with Japanese students about their culture.
I gained knowledge on alleviating embarrassment due to cold situations from language barriers. I learned how to resolve an embarrassing situation and create a relaxed environment between two parties. Books have been the life-changing part of my life. They made me able to interact with others by communicating with the authors by imagining the scenes depicted in their writings. My life mission is to reach my full potential to help others achieve their own. I realized I have the courage to interact with others and I should not label or judge myself.
