Introduction

My go-to leadership style is being a provider. This leadership style has been developed by two objectives, which include my intention to lead others and also take care of other people who are close to me. The factors that usually enable me to be a good provider include, I am deeply loyal, I am usually committed towards helping my fellow colleagues, and I am usually confident of my ability to provide. Due to my belief that I have developed a very important leadership style, I tend to share it with my fellow colleagues and encourage them to develop this style so that they can succeed in life. Due to the constant use of this style when leading my team, my work colleagues tend to perceive me as a thoughtful and deeply caring person.

Potential Blind Spots

Despite having the provider leadership style, I am likely to experience various blind spots, which are likely to affect my leadership ability. Some of these blind spots include, first, developing personal relationships at work. Being highly concerned with other people's welfare, such as helping my work colleagues, tends to make them view me in a different dimension. They usually view me more like a teacher to them than a fellow workmate. This usually makes it hard for me to find someone with whom I can share my personal experiences and life. Secondly, difficulty combining different opinions. Being a provider means that one has to have good listening skills so that you can understand different opinions and viewpoints. However, it is usually hard to listen to different opinions and make a proper decision on which issue to handle.

The Areas That i am Likely to Thrive and Struggle

When implementing this leadership style, I am likely to struggle and thrive in different areas. I am likely to thrive in an environment or organization whose values and expectations are well stipulated, and also, when I lead an organization team that requires a team leader who has well-outlined goals that are achievable. On the other hand, I am likely to struggle if the environment I am working in needs a large group of qualified personnel who are likely to develop each other's ideas.

Supplement Leadership Styles

Composer

This supplement leadership style involves being able to combine the reality of an issue and personal creativity in order to make various informed decisions (Rahschulte, Halley, & Martinelli, 2018). This leadership style requires me to develop various factors so that it can function effectively. For instance, the leadership style requires me to set effective work boundaries on when and how to guide my team. In order to be a good composer, I usually find it more comfortable to work independently, particularly when developing the plans and ideas to use.

Potential blind spots

Although I possess this supplementary leadership style, I am likely to experience various blind spots. Some of these blind spots include. First, I usually find it hard to engage in team building. In most cases, I usually focus on developing ideas and making various decisions along without depending on anyone's help. Therefore, it is usually hard for me to partner with other people in my team since I usually find it to be tiresome and distracting. Secondly, I usually find it hard to give orders patiently and with the needed preciseness. Considering that I usually make most of the decision making alone, I usually find it hard to explain to other people what is needed of them patiently. This blind spot makes my team or colleagues think that I usually doubt their capability.

The Areas That I Am Likely to Thrive and Struggle

When using this leadership style, I am likely to struggle and thrive in different environments. As a leader, I am likely to thrive if I work in an environment whereby I have no total control over the key workplace obligations, such as allocating duties. Secondly, considering that this leadership style requires one to make decisions alone, I am likely to thrive if the environment I am working for does not require me to develop strict work bonds. On the other hand, I am likely to struggle if I work in an area that requires one to maintain strict collaboration within the workplace.

Pilot

This supplement leadership style has played a key role in enabling me to be a strategic and visionary leader who has a strong purpose for the environment I am working. When using this style, I usually find it easy and enjoyable to handle and control the complex situations that occur within the workplace. In most cases, I usually encourage my fellow workmates to offer their inputs or ideas on how to tackle various situations or ideas that occur in the workplace. Most of these ideas are usually gathered using effective working teams.

Blind spots

When I am using this leadership style, I usually encounter various blind spots that hinder me from achieving my objectives. Some of these blind sports include; first, I usually do not take time to assess the ideas that I offered by other people. Since I usually value other people's opinions and decisions, I tend to assume that the decisions or inputs that they give are always right. Failure to make a proper assessment of the decisions made by the workers usually hinders the achievement of various objectives. Secondly, I do not take the time to reflect on the impacts of making various changes. In most cases, changes tend to be attractive in most working environments; however, I usually find it hard first to identify, and assess the impacts that are likely to occur after implementing certain changes.

The Areas That I am Likely to Thrive and Struggle

When using the pilot leadership styles, I am likely to thrive an struggle in different environments. I am likely to struggle if the organization I am working for has a strong management team that is very keen on questioning the ideas and decisions that are made within the organization. On the other hand, I am likely to thrive if I work for an organization that gives me the mandate and space to own and controls all the organization's initiatives.
