Korean Peninsula WMD program is highly stable and is not like previously made nuclear programs in other countries. The country has programs situated in various parts of the country. The reactors, warhead storage, enrichment facilities, research and development facilities, launch and test sites, command and control centers and stockpile locations are widely located within the geographical regions. The storage locations of its 30 nuclear warheads are secretly hidden and even after an unlikely attack event, the country can easily reincarnate.

North Korean has developed strong nuclear missiles that have made the peninsula powerful such that it can strike many countries including the US. Currently, the Korean peninsula has artillery located forty miles across the border. This artillery acts a strong deterrent to any military attack by any country. With such strong artillery, Korean Peninsula can strike neighboring countries and kill thousands within the first few minutes of conflict. Hence, the option to pressurize the Korean Peninsula into abandoning nuclear program is both ineffective and incredible and is not likely to materialize. The incredibility and ineffectiveness of the action would leave the Korean Peninsula untouched and hence stable in its execution of nuclear tests and capability.

Despite its strong efforts in developing strong nuclear missiles, the Korean Peninsula is facing serious opposition from the United States which wants to denuclearize its efforts. During the Bill Clinton leadership, the president said that the US will continuously seek to denuclearize every major nuclear program-related development on the Korean Peninsula. Bush administration strictly emphasized the need to relentlessly ensure that North Korea does not succeed in its nuclear program. President Bush vowed that the North Korean actions to perform nuclear tests will not weaken their resolve to denuclearize Korean Peninsula. President Obama further reiterated that the US will never accept North Korea to exist as a nuclear state. Recently, following North Korean nuclear tests in2017, President Trump remarked like his predecessors that the US will not relent in denuclearizing North Korea. With all these pressures, the Korean Peninsula being a weak state is likely to succumb and abandon its nuclear programs.

Despite US's denuclearization efforts, it is currently faced with a trilemma where it has three objectives but only two can be achieved at best and at once. The US has three objectives which include forward-deployment, CVID, and avoiding a costly forcible regime change. Achieving the three objectives is economically impossible without compromising the stability of exchange rates, and capital mobility. However, despite having the ability to achieve the three objectives only two can materialize. Either the combination is costly and would lead to massive destruction of property and loss of life.

In conclusion, the Korean Peninsula has a strong nuclear missile that it has developed over time. When used to strike an enemy, it can cause massive killing within a few minutes of the attack. Two of the US's objectives are workable and if implemented. However, the US's options to attack the Korean Peninsula are costly and would further destroy its bilateral relations. The safest option that the US is left with is to abandon denuclearization North Korean and remain at peace. Lack of a suitable option to deal with nuclear capabilities implies that the Korean Peninsula is very stable and cannot be swayed by foreign forces.
