The diversity of people and the differences in technology are significant factors influencing the implementation of interoperability in the provision of emergency services by emergency medical service providers, the police and fire personnel.

According to the article, having inadequate emergency interoperability presents different problems in the provision of emergency services. These services are provided and coordinated by different personnel to make sure that all the individuals who require the services receive them appropriately. Without coordination and interoperability, the emergency services might face problems (Sanders & Henderson, 2013). Majority of the political attention which has been given to the emergency preparedness has been based on the failure of the different departments charged with the responsibility of making sure that individuals receive the emergency services to operate and work together. Through such studies and resources, it will be easier to understand the technological infrastructure that will be used in the sharing of information between the emergency service providers. Without the establishment of such a framework, the innovations being made in the information-sharing technology will not help in addressing the concerns that are being experienced in emergency preparedness. There is need to make sure that all the human perspectives are considered when developing frameworks to be used in preparing for emergencies.
