The opening of social media or the internet journey is similar to Alice when she goes down the rabbit hole in various ways (Bloomfield & Jacobs 79). For instance, the internet has changed the way people live. Even though things are done the way they should be, everything changed when the internet came into people's lives (Ljubicic 79). At some point, the internet has become like a looking glass where it magnifies, accelerates and distorts everything is done (Kolb 27). In other words, the internet has both evil and good side where it can make things better or worse things very ugly (Greist 96). The essay will elaborate on how the internet journey relates to how Alice went down the rabbit hole.

As seen, everyone has turned out to be Alice (Carroll 33). Everyone is now falling into the digital rabbit hole that consumes a minimum of eight hours a day (Kilham 17). If people sit down and look back, they will realize, they have fallen into the rabbit hole, and if none gets out, then it will affect the wonderland before they find the end of the tunnel (Lewis 55). The notion of public space has converted the daily experience of people to the interconnected digital space to spin the way things work (Diamond 101). The previous described verbal friends have now been captured on mobile phones and online platforms. Half the planet (over 3.2 billion people) now uses this connectivity to accompany the sense of anonymity and tremendous power (Shao 12). According to Michaud & Free, in Alice in wonderland, the digital rabbit is comprised of mirrors that encourage narcissism (398).

It is clear why every day, android users take more than 93 million photos. In other words, the digital rabbit hole has directed people into the online wonderland. The digital rabbit hole separates people from reality, but also shape the perspectives of each way. The digital wonderland has converted people to who they are because of the intrinsic connection. It is up to the online users to see whether they can transform reality into a real wonderland that will shape the real world. The choice to be made lies with the reality people are facing today.
