Introduction
Lifestyle choices refer to conscious and personal decisions to achieve behavior that might result in decreasing or increasing disease risk. A significant aspect of health promotion is the prevention of diseases. This situation is knowledge provision to people that aid them in health protection. The lifestyle choices that I have made include distractions elimination. Distractions include alcohol, consumption. According to Friis (2010), the United States mortality causes is due to alcohol consumption. The outcomes would be the reduction of the probability of liver diseases, which includes cirrhosis and liver inflammation. The heart attack risk, irregular heartbeat, and high blood pressure reduce significantly.
Investment in My health is another lifestyle choice I have made. The options include processed food elimination and reduction of eating out frequency. Exercising every day including walking around the surrounding environments would improve My health. Exercises reduce the heart attack risk and better management of weight. Type 2 diabetes risks decrease and inducement of blood cholesterol lowers levels and strengthens the heart. Class investment for advice is another lifestyle choice I have made.
The information I will get from my mentor will help in money and time saving for my learning curve. Another lifestyle change I have made is taking the risk. The type of risks generally includes a situation where an individual is afraid to do something due to embarrassment. I will try new things without fear. Will get over, and I will not shy away in regards to talking to a person. Taking risks would help in a manner that an individual cannot succeed by fear of talking to people. Generally, the risk takers are happy people since if they fail; they will gain more experience and knowledge, which can contribute further success. Risk takers are usually more satisfied than people who fail to take risks.
Mental disorders affect emotion, behavioral control, and cognition. Mental disorders cause interference of children ability to learn and knowledge of adults functioning in their families, in society, and at work. The disorder tends to start in early life and becomes a chronic and recurrent course. Bipolar disorder is one of the mental disorders. Episodes of depression and mania followed by good mood periods generally characterize Bipolar disorder. A mixture of symptoms and states of both depression and mania also occur. The three rules of health that describe the disorder, which includes mania, euthymia, and depression, form the basis of the treatment (Friis, 2010).Geddes and Miklowitz (2013) assert that Benzodiazepines and antipsychotic drugs relatively reduce manic symptoms. The drugs, which help in the stabilization of the mood acts more slowly but generally, decrease the duration and severity of acute manic episodes. The drugs help the epidemiologists handle bipolar disorder. Another form of mental disorder is Anxiety disorders. The disorder features include incapability to exercise worry and fear regulation. Several anxiety disorders exist which provides for panic order, Generalized anxiety disorder, and Social anxiety disorder.
Panic disorder includes a generally unexpected panic attack. Breathe shortness, sweating, racing heart and dizziness characterizes the disease. Excessive worry and sympathetic nervous system arousal describe generalized anxiety disorder. Social anxiety disorder symptoms include social situations persistent fear that makes an individual humiliated. The epidemiologists handle anxiety disorders by evidence-based interventions. The interventions generally decrease the panic attacks severity, and full recovery probability is improved. Both psychosocial treatments and also drugs are effective treatments for anxiety disorder management. Antidepressant drugs, which include Tricyclic antidepressants and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, have exhibited effective therapy for various anxiety disorders. Panic disorders treatment leads to a reduction of intensity and duration of the disorder. Cognitive behavioral therapy also presents an effective treatment of panic attacks.
