Like other groups, Hasidic is a small religious group that follows the teaching of the Ba'al Shem Tov. God allows Hasidism to go even above and beyond the law. The religious group encourages members to serve their God beyond the obligation to create a joyful environment. According to the movie Secret World of Hasidism, God holds the meaning and purpose of life among Hasidism. People were supposed to obey and follow all the commandments that guide during ritual and ethical obligations. In the movie, both men and women are seen living in a complex and separate sphere. This appears to be a private world, and only those invited are supposed to go. In the movie, Sharon Pulwer is seen as confused when he visited the ghost world of Hasidism. The state even becomes more complicated when he looks at the surrounding environment.
At first, he sees black hats and modern clothes of religious Jews. This is one of Jewish ritual which depicted their way of life. Additionally, in the movie, the man is given the role to take over religious responsibilities. On the other hand, women were mandated to be faithful follows of religion. Additionally, women were socially prescribed to take care of the family and home. This was a critical aspect that indicated the concept of femininity, which revolved around the secret world. Clothes were other critical ritual practice that was practiced among Hasidism. Men were required to wear a long slack and colored casual shirt during their daily activity. This conservative model of wearing was supposed to match with their belief. The family has a particular dress code, such as women wearing long clothes that covered their knees. Women were also supposed to embrace a specific hairstyle. These were key aspects that were used to differentiate married women from others. Additionally, the dressing code was used to differentiate Hasidim from other religious groups.
The wedding was an essential religious practice that Hasidism practices. This is a critical religious ritual that brought a man and female together to make a family. At home, women and men were perceived as different due to their experience in various fields of practice. The family was mandated to ensure it presents all children to religious so that they can learn commandments. This was an essential approach family using to ensure children are brought up understanding all ethical requirements. Due to this concept, most believed that Hasidism was living a traditional life.
There were other religious rituals such as sacrifice which accompanied this practice. In the movie, daily prayer is another essential practice that Hasidism practiced. During the exercise, people were required to read and study the Torah to strengthen their faith. This was a critical practice that Hasidism used to show their respect to their God. They believed that practicing daily prayer was a way to connect to spirits and love fearing for God. Obeying commandment was perceived as the right approach that Hasidism was using to connect to God, people, and animals. This aspect was meant to create a good platform when developing a good relationship. Additionally, dietary laws highly practiced ensuring people they create a good relationship with God. Through the approach, people believed that they were observing God's commandments.
