As a Republican, Donald Trump was willing to use any persuasive means that would enable him gain massive support for the surety of ascending to the topmost seat on American soil (Bastos and Farkas 34). As a result, Trump did not shy away from using politically polarizing sentiments evidently in his 2015 presidential campaign speeches and the Texas rally rhetoric.

For instance, during the Texas rally speech, Trump, in his rhetoric states that radical democrats are aimed at turning back the clock for the rule of corrupt and power-hungry globalists. He goes further to define globalists as individuals who are focused on making the world a better place but paying little attention to the betterment of the US thus the need to avoid such people. By using this rhetoric, Trump stereotypes Democrats as people lacking American interest in their hearts. Instead, Trump frames them as people who are hungry for power and ready to accommodate malevolent corrupt demeanors if they can ascend to the white house.

Moreover, these individuals; Democrats, according to Trump are ready to sacrifice the prosperity of the united states of America for global progress. In other words, Trump paints a picture of Democrats misusing the US as the burden of beast for the prosperity of the globe (Dahl 45). Therefore, Trump's Texas rally speech rhetoric politically polarizes America since Democrats are viewed to be pursuing a suicidal mission for the US whereas Trump and the Republicans display themselves as the American nationalists and guardian angels.

Additionally, Trump polarizes US's political atmosphere by mentioning that a win by the Democrats will culminate into the substitution of American freedom with socialism. He, therefore, imparts into his supporters an image of America becoming like china and Cuba if the Democrats happen to clinch the presidential seat. This rhetoric vastly divides the American electorate with Trump supporters brainwashed to hate Democrats and perceive them as a tyrannical and oppressive regime synonymous to China (Cohen et al. 65). Trump further incites his politically polarizing sentiments by stating that once the Democrats takeover, the rule of law will be erased, and the rule of the mob prevail. Such statements are very delicate and can trigger a nation into political mayhem. The rhetoric wholly dresses Democrats in a despotic attire by highlighting them as callous individuals aimed at destroying American communities instead of defending its territories.

Besides, Trump, in his rhetoric encourages political polarization by denoting Democrats as a failed party. He equates Democrats to oppressors owing to their inability to close American boundaries to immigrants whom he describes as terrorists, predators, and criminal drug dealers. Therefore, Trump creates a picture of a Democrat win immersing Americans into a hotbed of terror, oppression and illegal drug dealings instead of tackling pivotal American needs. Also, a win by the Democrats according to Trump will subject Americans to high taxes, reduced incomes, increase regulations, neglection of American citizens' medical challenges and subvert the job atmosphere.

Basically, Trump extensively polarizes the American political environment through dirty politics. His rhetoric severely demonizes the image of the Democrats. He brainwashes his supporters to perceive Democrats as radical open-border leaders. As a result, he asserts that a Republican win is not a choice but prerequisite failure to which Americas are doomed. Such rhetoric clothes politics with antagonistic emotions and a matter of life and death, thus fueling political polarization.

Moreover, in his 2015 presidential speech Trump uses rhetoric to gain more support. For instance, he gains wide attention by stating America to be in dire trouble. He creates a sympathetic perception of the US owing to her long years of failure to emerge victorious for instance in vital global trade deals. According to him, all these are due to the undoing of the Democrats. Hence, Democrats are the unwanted epicenter of the failure of the US; however, he is the apropos tool to make America great again. By these sentiments, Trump encourages political polarization by describing Democrats as a people whose interest is to see the US lose its top position in the globe.

Trump widely encourages political polarization through open ethnic discrimination. He accuses most Mexican immigrants to be rapists, drug loads and criminals. Such rhetoric automatically causes uproar among Mexican immigrants and even those who have been able to acquire American citizenship. In retaliation, most Mexicans develop hostility not only to Trump but the entirety of his supporters which is inherently against the goals of good politics.

Political polarization is encouraged, yet again through Trump's rhetoric that the American dream has been killed. Such a sentiment clearly labels all anti-Trump supporters as enemies of the American dream that is not the case. The outcome is severe hostility between pro and anti-Trump supporters. To sum up his rhetoric, Trump paints politicians as a bunch of hecklers who promise a lot and deliver nothing. Such a move encourages political polarization since opposing politicians are most likely to mobilize themselves together with their supporters and hostility respond to Trump's sentiments that will leave the nation widely divided.
