Introduction

The United States makes a significant contribution to international agreements and treaties between nations because of its position as a world power. On 1st June 2017, the current US president Donald Trump made a critical approach towards the Paris Agreement on climate change. Defending his decision Trump said that the Paris accord will in future undermine the United States economy putting his country in the long term and permanent disadvantage (Chakraborty, 2017). In his speech, Trump quoted "We reject the ideology of globalism and accept the doctrine of patriotism." To show his country's disassociation with the United Nations plans on global climate change. The US is the world's second largest emitter of greenhouse gasses took a wrong turn to join forces with other international bodies and nations in addressing the heightening global warming threat. These decisions by Trump have considerable and disastrous reputations on the planet and the future generation not only in its boundaries but to the entire world at large.

The US will be the third country to take such approaches to withdraw from the Paris Agreement after Syria and Nicaragua. Although, there are no set standards for participation and country partisan in the Paris Agreement, Trumps decision and implementation grounds for his approaches to withdraw from the climate change regulations from the Paris Agreement is an international environmental disaster because his country is a leading pollutant of the planet due to the high industrial waste and gases emissions (Friedman, 2019).

Consequently, pulling out of the Paris deal outlawed strong criticism from other international leaders because of the disastrous effects it will have on the future generation and the planet. Other nations listed together with the United States as the world's top polluting countries condemn Trump's approaches arguing that his predecessor, Barrack Obama, urged the world to embrace this accord in the bid to protect the future generation and the only plant "we've got". In his argument, Trump says that agreeing to the Paris Agreement will disadvantage the US to the benefit of other countries. In the counter-argument, Trump says that the accord will lead to immense loss of jobs and closure of US factories in the implementation of the climate change agreement costing the US a great fortune economically. However, this argument only shows the short term implications of the Paris Accord but, Trump failed to look at the bigger picture on the disastrous effect emission of greenhouse gasses will contribute to the changes in climatic and other environmental concerns as well as human existence. In his argument president, Trump only considered the short term he is in office without considering the future generation and the legacy he will leave after his term in office.

In a philosophical perspective from global climatic ambassadors, they are in agreement that Trump's approaches were jeopardizing the future of the planet and the coming generation (Sengupta, Eddy, Buckley, & Rubin, 2017). The French climate ambassador, Laurence Tubiana saying "President Donald Trump is, in the long run, putting his country on the wrong side of history," as one among other multiple disagreeing opinions expressed by various leaders and climate experts. The current United Nation Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, urges all nations in the world on the importance for collective implementation of the Paris agreement saying that withdrawing from the accord will cost the entire planet a fortune in the bid to safeguard the future generation from the repercussions of miscalculated moves against environmental conservation and climate change with the threats of global warming. Again, Professor Stephen Hawking says that Trump's approaches can lead to irreversible climate changes that will harm the entire planet due to global warming as well as jeopardize the future of the future generation.

Conclusion

Conclusively, it is important to reconsider the approaches taken by the US president Donald Trump because although the short term and direct impacts are felt today by Americans, the future of the next generation and the entire planet lies on the wrong moves to economic benefits without considering the potential damages they will output.
