Introduction
Democrats have been talking about changing Texan blue, which is believed to the last hope for the democrats. The democrats have made significant efforts to achieve the majority seats in the previous elections, and they are fully prepared to mobilize the democratic coalition ahead of the 2020 elections. The essay below, therefore, presents a well-thought discussion on the factors that will be most important in deciding Texas's "color" and how Texans will vote in 2020. In the essay, I will provide facts and statistics regarding the Texan Democratic state and the American elections. Most of the information I present in this essay is derived from official Texan websites such as Texas Monthly, CNN Politics, Washington Post, and The Washington Times.
In my opinion, the factors that will be most important in defining Texas's "color" ahead of the 2020 elections include a growing historical diversity, well-educated cities, and suburbs. According to Texas Monthly, Texas has an outstanding purple effect as democrats such as Beto O'Rourke, who have been fighting tirelessly to mobilize the suburban areas, young people, and minorities to record a high number of voters (Byler). These democrats have shown a high influential power to gain the hearts of many citizens to have votes advantage. For instance, in the battle that Ted Cruz lost in 2018, the CNN politics 2019 reported that most of the votes came from the college-educated residents. Thus, the higher educated people register a higher number than low educated as they have an understanding of the importance of voting to the wellbeing of their country. On the other hand, across all 254 counties in Texas, a total of 234 counties are shifting towards democrats since 2016 to present (Enten). All the counties turning to democrats are cited to be composed of well-educated college graduates and suburban people.
According to the reports provided by most of the Texas reporters, there is more hope for the Democrats to take over the leadership in America. Contrary, the republicans are set to face the democrats and ensure that they impede the breakthrough of the republicans. Historically, Jimmy Carter was the last candidate to win the democratic presidency in 1976, and ever since, Texas has been red (Mackowiak). Texas is currently a severe battlefield for the 2020 presidential elections as long all Texans remain with the democratic spirit of voting. However, the election of a democratic leader will impose a challenge of reclaiming back the democratic state in Texas, loosely translated to mean that electing a republican president in America would be a mere dream.
Conclusion
In conclusion, there is more hope for the democrats to turn Texas blue as it used to be in the 1970s. Some of the discussed factors for determining Texas's color ahead of the 2020 elections are a growing historical diversity, well-educated cities, and suburbs. However, there must be tireless democratic leaders to face the challenges posed by republicans who are on the hunt to challenge the democrats. Turning Texas blue will be a lifetime achievement because Texans are yearning to experience the relief of having a democratic state.
