Introduction

Diversity refers to differences between a minor and major group. Cultural diversity is concerned with both visible and non-visible attributes of cultural identities where individuals chose to categorize themselves. Current studies regarding cultural diversity focus on the demographic differences observed in the silent characteristics and more likely to be used for social comparison, identity, categorization, and development among others. Culture also has set standards considered acceptable within a society. Every culture is presented with basic standards governing social interaction and includes such things as personal space, eye contact, and gestures in public.

The examination of group differences has three benefits to the community. First, it's beneficial in the avoidance to dilute the social constructs of diversity (Yang, 2005). It works better especially of is equivalent to the personal differences. By definition, all groups are diverse making the entire concept of workplace diversity to become meaningless. Secondly, the examination of intergroup differences matches the argument of social identity theory. The theory proposes that people tend to emphasize within group's identical aspects and distinguish themselves from the groups which they have no attachment. Last, the focus on intergroup differences encourages the study of diversity at an organizational level. Unlike tradition studies on cultural diversity, recent papers examine diversity in an organized way through the incorporation of both resource-based and institutional views.

The benefits of racial ethnicity and cultural diversity have gained support in the educational literature. Research regarding these topics has been approached through multiple methods including subjective assessment of benefits arising from the interaction of students in a diverse environment. The multiple assessments conducted to identify the benefits of cultural diversity include those on analysis on both monetary and non-monetary returns, the impact on student learning, and attainment of professional education titles that prepare the learners towards being leaders and understanding other communities. The topic is also useful in analyzing tying diversity events during the schooling years and impact on educational outcomes. In a study that surveyed 25,000 undergraduates enrolled in 217 four year institutions, there was an examination of impacts of diversity on the values of other races and cultures (Sanner et al., 2010). The greatest impacts identified by the study are based on the frequency at which these students ethnic issues. The researchers in the study refer to this form of diversity as informal interactional diversity. It where there is involvement in both the frequency and quality of interaction between groups as a necessary method of explaining meaningful cultural diversity.

Cultural diversity also influences the family structure and influences the definition of a family. The point is reflected on the impact of culture on the functions of the family, its life cycle and events viewed by stressors (Sylva, 2005). The implications of such frameworks are only understood by early interventionists since they have an adequate understanding of cultural influences in relation to the family structures. According to the earlier studies, there are multiple cultural considerations to be considered when working with families. The factors that determine such considerations include attitudes towards the intervention, the methods applied, the location of services, and qualifications of the persons providing the services. It becomes clear to see the need for a conceptual framework while searching for literature that addresses the influence of cultural diversity. There are multiple ethnographic surveys examining the variables attached to cultural organizations. Cultural diversity, therefore, makes the world an interesting place to live in for all its occupants since it would be boring for things to be alike.
