The Catholic church has its stand on the creation which has been shaped by various beliefs and analogies put together by their church leaders. The earth is believed to have undergone evolution, and human beings came into existence as a result of evolution (Draper, 2019). According to the CIT, there is no dispute over this, the key thing which all the Catholics should know is that God created everything, but the means of creation should not bother anyone as God could have created the universe through evolution. The catechists put forward that there will be no difference if we say God created the universe in a million years and if we say he used six days as the conclusion of all is that God created the universe.

Over the years, there has been a discussion on why God created a human being, yet He could have just existed by himself, some put forward that due to loneliness, God was prompted to create Adam and Eve. This is not the case with the Catholic Tradition; God created the universe so that he can share his unconditional Godly love. Without the creation of God, we could not have known about his love and compassion. He created human beings and all creatures so that they can receive God's love.

God in his creation has been portrayed as perfect, in His creation are perfect and does not need any modification, and from this, we can deduce that God cannot be manipulated as the Pagans always portray Him (Draper, 2019). According to the belief of Greco-Roman, all gods emanated from cosmos, but Christianity and specifically the Catholic detaches God from the cosmos. In the Catholic tradition, it was not a must that the universe should exist, but it came into existence as a result of the love of God.

In the Catholic Intellectual tradition, God is presented as relational. Through the Trinity, God created a son so that he can redeem the universe and sent the holy spirit to guide the universe. This depicts that the sole purpose of God to humanity and the universe is to create, redeem, and offer grace. Through the grace which God has offered, we can experience his existence in the universe hence there is no place in the universe where God is not in but at the same time, we cannot single out a specific creature and say that this is a proof of God's existence.

From the story of creation, we can depict that God is the only creature which was not created and does not depend on anything; that is; He is self-sufficient (Draper, 2019). Everything that exists in the universe depends on God for their living, and through His provision, we can conclude that indeed God is love and out of His love the universe was created.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we can depict that the Catholic has the belief that God created the universe, but the means of creation is not important. The universe and all that exists in it was created to receive the love of God, and we have depicted that God does not depend on anything, but everything that exists in the universe depends on God for it to be inexistent, and all these have been made possible through the love of God.
