During this period, the colonial powers frequently fought with the parties and engaged in various observable battles and other related activities. Captain Avery, however, was one of the captains who successfully retired without being killed or arrested as many did. He, however, played a significant role in capturing the mogul ship known as the fabulously wealthy.

Avery became one of the world's influential leaders after he created a change in the substantial shifts of the international policy, and there were no legitimate sources that could track and locate his whereabouts after the Ganj-I-Sawal after he caused a lot of speculation (Avery lecture 2). Avery's settlement in Madagascar was a success because it involved the small scattering of outlaws who engaged in the local native's culture in the lives of marriage. He ruled wisely and kept many things private and is the reason he was not killed. He plotted the society according to his standards and controlled it effectively.

Captain Avery was among the top lists in the arrests he undertook across the world. He was very delusional on the way he saw the work undertaken and was motivated to do great things. He took a lot of money, jewelry, gold, ivory, silver, and other vital things, other expensive things. The resources were shared among the members of the crew, and as all the naval forces were tracking him down, he went to the Bahamas and bribed Nassau's governor with various ivories and weapons, and the governor allowed him to sail to Europe with his ship.

The Golden age of piracy changed where he took a step that many people could not be successful with it in the long run. The estimated value that Captain Avery took was over two hundred million dollars today. In today's world, it is hard for an individual to get access to the kind of money or resources and run away with it and never found (Ferguson and Niall 3).

Avery died and was never seen by the authorities, and it reflects the courage that he had. From all the forces tracking him down in the old age where technology had not advanced, and the value of money was very high examines how intelligent he was and the strategic decisions he undertook. However, in the contemporary world, it is hard to find an individual who steals a lot of money and escape to a foreign land without being tracked down.

However, he becomes famous through stealing, and many people, plays, and novels have used the idea. It is a wrong decision although he made history and became very famous. There is the principle of international law where various states combine to solve a disaster. However, Captain Avery was brilliant that he was not found by the Indian emperor tracking him. There is the characteristic of inappropriate leadership; leaders are supposed to motivate and direct others to do the right thing. However, Captain Avery himself steals portraying a bad example in the modern direction today. Weak leadership skills lead to corruption in various organizations and businesses where people use leadership opportunities for personal gain.

Captain Avery uses power in satisfying his interests, when he gets the haul of money and other expensive resources, he only thinks about himself and the crew and the need to run away with the money (Daniel 26). He is also an irresponsible person where he finds property belonging to the Indian Emperor and does not think of returning them to the owner but instead stealing it.

Accountability is critical, and what Captain Avery portrays is that he lacks accountability and integrity in pursuing his leadership role. The cause of leadership failure is the inability details properly. Captain Avery was not able to organize his work and services well enough but rather misused the leadership role. There is also a lack of strategic thinking where he does not think about his actions well enough and has to run away when he finds out the Indian trading company is tracking him.
