Introduction

Different anatomic terms are used in describing different planes within the body. The anatomical position is used in describing the various positions in the body depending on the position that the person is facing. The body of a person is divided into different parts, the terminologies in anatomy are confusing if you are not familiar with such terminologies. The terminologies use prefixes and suffixes in order to make the word in order to make one remember the terminologies and know their qualities. Researchers divide the body into planes depending on the position in the body and their direction of movement in order to be able to study them and know how they function. Understanding how the different planes perform and how they move one can find solutions whenever there is an injury in the specific plane. The terminologies used in describing the planes are confusing; therefore, someone needs to master them keenly.

Among the most confusing terms that I have come across include Midsagittal and Parasagittal, the two terms are confusing because they represent almost the same parts in the body (Bradford, 2014). The midsagittal plane is a plane within the body that divides the body into right and left halves by dividing the body into two halves. Medical professionals are able to know how to deal with the parts of the body that are located in the midsagittal plane (Bradford, 2014). The midsagittal plane is a part of the sagittal plane that what makes it hard for me to differentiate between the two. I usually face challenges in distinguishing between because when the person turns either facing you or while you are looking the back of the person. The Parasagittal also divides the body into right and left portions making it hard to differentiate between the two.

The similarities between Midsagittal and Parasagittal is that they divide the body into two parts through the x-z plane; therefore, one faces challenges in determining the axis that separates between the two body parts. The body is cylindrical therefore someone faces challenges in determining where the axis pass through (Bradford, 2014). The other similarity between the two planes is that they have similar organs, therefore, understanding how one part works the person is able to how the different plane works. The other similarity is that both planes are located along the vertical axis and this is what makes it challenging to differentiate between the two planes. Also, both planes involve forward and backward movements.

The Midsagittal and Parasagittal also have differences that make them unique are that the sagittal plane divides the body along the vertical axis while the midsagittal plane divides the body into two halves the right and left halves (Mraz, 2015). The sagittal plane passes across both the right and the left of the body longitudinally while the midsagittal plane passes through the center of the body. The midsagittal plane connects other planes within the body therefore if its influence and its unable to operate it affect other planes within the body.

Conclusion

In conclusion, different anatomic planes in the body of a human being are confusing, and therefore one needs to be careful while contrasting them. The anatomic planes classify the body into different sections, and consequently one can find the specific solution to a plane that has an injury. The planes help medical experts in differentiating different parts.
