Independence

The value of independence is not only held high in American standards but has also been inaugurated in the American dream that indirectly states that any American is entitled to work for their success. Independence is actually on the main values in American culture. Every person ought to live independently in their life (Chetty et al. 2016). Such a value is in complete objection of communism as a way of life whereby success, and life's fortunes are divided and shared among the community. The concept of working independently has been embraced in how most American kids leave home immediately after school to start their own independent lives (Chetty et al. 2016).

Informality

Informality is another common cultural value in American culture. This value is especially true in the American dress code. Americans dress informally in corporate settings, in school, and in church. Dressing in America is not dictated by decency as opposed to other societies but a form of expression. Informality is also observed in the kind of greetings Americans share with one another (Rubinstein, 2019). Americans do not stick to the already prescribed version of "good morning", "good evening" but instead prefer a more informal form of "Hi," and "Hello." Their English was in as well informal incorporating the informal phrases "wanna," "Imma" and "gonna" as opposed to "want to," I am going to" and "going to" (Chetty et al. 2016).

Time

American place a lot of values in how they spend their time and how they expect other to act in regard to acknowledgement on how important time is. Americans have embraced the concept of showing to work, meetings, appointments, and social activities on time. This concept of time is what has generated such growth in their economy (Chetty et al. 2016). This value is slowly being embraced in other societies as well especially those concerned with achieving corporate success. A major proportion of Americans especially in the corporate sector, do not conform to the known daily concept of working in the day and resting at night. Wages are by the hour.
