Introduction

Ethics is self-control that deals with what is virtuous and wicked and with ethical responsibility and commitment, which this paper agrees is vital in the accounting profession. Accountants are required to uphold high standards of honesty and trustworthiness by clearly understanding what is ethically upright or wicked. Investors' reliance on the honesty of the accountants to ensure their firms are well audited with the aid of honest financial statements is the reason this particular paper supports the need for embracing ethics in accounting. (Houqe, Van Zijl, Dunstan & Karim, 2015). The write-up also agrees that for auditors to gain the trust of their employers, they should have both the academic credentials and good ethics. Such a scenario is the case as employers cannot hire auditors without ethical roots since they will have no trust in the employees without an excellent ethical background. The paper also agrees with the implementation of the code of ethics, which ensures auditors are in line with their ethical requirements. These codes ensure that the auditors are aware of the core values they must embrace, the behavioral examples which they might encounter and how to solve them, the organizational support entailing how to report any problems they encounter, and their personal responsibility as auditors (Everett, Friesen, Neu & Rahaman, 2018). According to Colossians 3:17 (Gupta, 2019), we should do everything be it in conversation or action in the name of Jesus and giving appreciations to God through Jesus. Such implies that auditors should do their work through in the forename of Jesus Christ in order for them to be trustworthy.

Thus auditors are required to be individuals of high ethical standards in order for them to gain the trust of their employees. Good ethics are vital requirements for any organization since the success of the organization depends on each employee's commitment to following the company's core values. Proper observance of a company's moral standards ensures that the company attains its targets quickly and also ensures that the auditors gain the trust of the company. Therefore auditors need to embrace high moral standards not only for the benefit of the company but also for building the company's trust in them, which ensures they succeed in their careers.
