The wasted youth musical video is a rock type of video that talks about sexuality produced by a 22-year-old Cari Fletcher. In the video, Fletcher is with another female companion wondering in the night together. Their relationship seems romantic accompanied with kisses and hugs .the singer in the video is talking of love she has for her friend whom she refers to 'honey' and 'beby.' She tells her companion that even if she is wasting time it is good that she is wasting on her. The song begins when the singer says that they have a lot of time to make it right and that it is good to mess some things up. Fletcher refers her companion to be her nation and revolution. Even though the singer knows that what they are doing is not right of which she will have to pay it anyway, he encourages her counterpart to take the good stuff which cannot be bought by money which is love they have for each other. She claims that it is her life that she is living and no one should try to save her or stop her from it since she does not care if it is not right and terming themselves as the wasted youth. The music video is directed towards all the people who have a different perception of sexuality. The two ladies were engaging in a romantic relationship and that people were seeing them as lesbians. The singer wants to show the people that sexuality is not all about sex and that there is more than that. According to her, everyone is entitled to love anyone regardless of the gender since we are all human beings. From the song, homosexual acts and authentic lesbianism in today's life seems to be a common thing as compared to some years back where it was seen as a bad thing from the traditional beliefs (Railton, 2011 ). That is why nowadays some organizations have come up in the names of fighting for the rights of these individuals like the gays association (Fieldman, 2010). In the past, homosexuality was regarded as a problematic act, and many communities were against the vice. The main reason is that it could not offer procreation since it is difficult for people of the same gender to bear children unless assisted by another person. Another reason is that it could turn into a curse and affect the other members of the family.

In most cases people have had a negative picture of homosexuality for example lesbianism, people think that the lesbians should be different in that one lady will be like a man and the other as a feminine. From the video of wasted youth, the ladies were the same, and no one could differentiate them by way of looking. With the current freedom of expression and the rights to choose what to do, people tend to use the excuses of freedom of living their own lives therefore making it difficult to deny or teach someone how to live and how to love .these as propagated homosexuality today putting in mind that even the churches have supported the act. The developed countries like the US have supported gay by incorporating the rights in their constitution that people of the same sex can marry.

Homosexuals do not expose themselves easily thus making it difficult to identify one. They have their ways known to themselves that they use to determine their colleagues' as shown by Lady Gaga during her performance of defamiliarising the familiar (Wilton, 2007) .it can be found that the homosexuals do wear the same clothes as the other people and especially heavy garments which resemble those of pop artist in men while ladies may apply heavy makeups in their bodies so as to look more feminine (Music video and celebrity feminism). This makes them non-sexual for secrecy and not to be known by the rest of the population. In this case, the trait of homosexuality tends to be a decision made by a particular person due to various reasons. These reasons may be intrinsic and that there are no external motivating factors for example motivation from the public. They do their stuff to satisfy their inner drive which made them become homosexuals.

In conclusion, the music video wasted youth by Cari Fletcher gives us another perception of heterosexuality. Giving it a new version that heterosexuality/homosexuality are kind of sexualities attached to one's way of thinking and no one should be criticized in one way or another. Everyone is entitled to love, feel and relate to anyone he/she thinks like.it also evident that homosexuality (gay and lesbianism) is a non-strategic queerness of which it is not motivated by anything but it is only the uniqueness of a person that makes him/her be a homosexual.
