In June 2018 is Ennio Morricone, one of the most exceptional classic concerts that happened in 02 Arena, London. The type of music that the film composer was performing was marking his retirement at the age of 90 and appreciating his fan for the support they have always shown him throughout his career. Ennio has done more than 500 films and has been able to achieve all the success through a good working relationship with most influential music directors in the history of classical music such as Bertolucci, Leon, and Tarantino. Morricone is an all-time influential and prolific music composer in the history of classical music, and this is displayed in the concert where he is 90 by now and still performs the music through the accompaniment of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra together with Crouch End Festival Chorus (Morricone).

Ennio’s forte throughout his performance has been simple chord sequences that have a lot of human emotion, beauty, and drama, and the reasons which make his music so unique is because it has grand orchestration foundation or background on beguiling intimacy. For instance, when he gets support from Susanna, who is a long-time soprano collaborator, the flurries and the brass tend to sound like mutiny, and that is why a thousand of the audience are gathered in the place due to the totemic themes of Sergio Leones 60s spaghetti westerns (Morricone). Ennio’s leitmotifs have been essential when it comes to most of Leon’s movies where the director used to play the music to the cast when shooting the film or films. Morricone is known as the famous and great maestro, and for many decades Ennio has been used as a gun for hire on spaghetti westerns and some other Italian horror films, and this does not present the respect it should earn in classical circles.

Morricone attends the concert to try and appreciate classical music, which is now mostly used in most movies, and the show tries to remind the forgotten films in a 200-piece choir and orchestra. The set stage is crowd-pleasing, and that is why the crowd cheers when they start to play the instruments. The music is not anywhere short of remarkable. Still, it is more evident when the audience cheers and the whole Sergio Leone section tries much hard to go down amazingly with the audience as Ennio leads the “Man with a Harmonica,” which is followed by the Good, Ugly and the Bad tracks respectively (Morricone). The theme utilized by Morricone tries to capture the whole genre and the loneliness of Wild West in about three minutes of performance.

Conclusion

In conclusion, when the audience thinks that Ennio is done with the performance, the music composer displays some energy by coming back to the stage to perform both the love and central themes of the Cinema Paradiso. Moreover, the Morricone still brings the Abolisson and The Ecstasy of Gold, which makes the audience appreciate by huge applause. When the audience disperses, they feel much happy about the live performance, and the event can never be forgotten in history. From a personal point of view is that the concert has demonstrated a lot of themes that the classic genre has in society and why they are mostly utilized in some great movies (Morricone). The production is a good indication that classical music has a big impact and significance to the upcoming generation in significant perspectives and mostly in films.
