Crimes of the powerful are some experiences that have occurred in the existence of humanity. Some of the behaviors determined by the individual's power result in committing crimes. Crimes, in general, are influenced by negative thinking, however, for the case of crimes of the powerful, it comprises of harmful or criminal activities (Rothe, Dawn, and David Kauzlarich, 6). Crimes of the powerful therefore are the criminal offenses committed not by the powerless people in the society but those who hold a considerate economic, social, or political status in the society.

Most of these crimes are directly linked to their statuses because of their power or their status in the society gives them a unique environment with different influences to committing crimes as compared with the powerless. An individual at a high status in the society may commit a criminal offense as a result of the legitimate office that he or she holds; typical examples of the crime of the powerful are fraud, embezzlement, and theft (Rothe, Dawn, and David Kauzlarich, 7). Corporate crimes are significantly considered crimes of the powerful because many people engage in illegal activities that result from a thoughtful decision-making process or negligence liked to legitimate employment or formal organization. Crimes of the powerful dramatically affect an individual's confidence, reputation, and competence at work.

In some cases, crimes committed by the influential people in the society remain hidden media or political discourse that makes appear unique. It is crucial to consider that our instincts and desires drive us to commit crimes. People ibn power enjoy some of the privileges that make others think that whatever they do is right, from this perception, Other people trust them and expect to deliver their best in the community however these privileges or position in the society gives them the ability to take control over us and more significantly control our resources. Our own choices to satisfy our interests may influence adverse decisions that are committing crimes because of the belief with power and trust from the people, everything is possible.

Crimes of the powerful require thoughtful exploration to change the stereotyped minds on this matter. People using their occupational privileges to commit crimes that satisfy our interest is unethical. The individuals who commit occupational crimes are rampant; the work environment is, therefore, one of the most influential factors to committing crimes by the powerful. Our intentions to enrich ourselves without considerate application of the law encourages crimes; for instance, senior workers in the accounting departments may emerge in the manipulation of audit books to increase the value of stock and sales in an organization. Environments and organizational policies influence to attempt to commit such crimes.

When the most privileged or wealthy people take advantage of the power, they possess over other, or those in authority fail to organize or work to meet the needs of their subjects or other people in the society, the general population suffers the most in terms of economic, cultural and social wellbeing (Rothe, Dawn, and David Kauzlarich, 8). People's thoughts that prioritize making more money than they should or meet the goals and objectives of the organization as expected are illegal. Such choices lead to cover-ups and other criminal activities that are even worse than the original crime.

For any person in authority or who holds a sufficient economic or social status in the social image and reputation is one of the most critical factors. However, with the capacity to commit crimes and hide, it has c-greatly affected our work performance and our reputation as well. It is, therefore, essential to consider the results of our intentions. Crimes of the powerful involve critical consequences which the person involved must consider. State-corporate crimes, for instance, involve illegal actions that involve one or more organizations or political institutions; most of the people working in such environments are tempted to engaging in criminal offenses because of their desires and greed to make more than they should. Besides personal reputation, it also affects the institutional image. Crimes such as bribery, fraud, price-fixing, and violation of office in terms of trust and honesty lead to damage to the institution's name.

Power drives our choices of life whether good or bad, in many case powers has been associated with many criminal offenses including corruption, unsafe items, inappropriate working cognitions, state oppression, torture and illegal exploration of resources, these are but a few of the crimes of the powerful (Rothe, Dawn, and David Kauzlarich, 10). Such crimes lead to economic impacts, such as financial problems. Crimes of powerful have been associated with a financial loss.

Individuals' health and safety is an essential element in human's life; however, through crimes of the powerful can lead to significant health and safety issues. For instance, a doctor who conducts unnecessary medical services to a patient exposes one to more significant health problems. Also, organizations that manufacture and sell contaminated products put the lives of the consumers in danger. In many cases, such crimes are influenced by greed; our thoughts to achieve more for dosing less is one of the negative choices that people make in life.

Crimes of the powerful depend on individuals' choices; our thoughts determine our move to eradicating or engaging in criminal offenses (Rothe, Dawn, and David Kauzlarich, 13). One of the leading factors that affect pour people's choices in life is the environment; people working in government offices tend to use their power to meet their self-satisfaction objectives without considering the impacts of their move on their lives and other people as well.

We should, therefore, encourage one another to maintain ethical conduct and avoid crimes regardless of our statuses in the society to eradicate crimes of the powerful. What I have learned from this curse has dramatically influenced the way I perceive the crimes of the powerful; I believe that my choices determine my destiny; therefore, I do not need to use any form of status I can acquire in the society to commit crimes. I consider it essential to think more critically about the consequences of my choices to avoid involving myself in criminal offenses.
