Through her concepts of binary deconstruction, Alnzadua exposes the lope poles between the blacks and the whites in the region. For instance, in her book, there is this powerful statement which gives us the clear picture of how color was an essential factor during those days. Therefore in her book, she argued that "we count the days, weeks, years and the centuries until when we will say that the whites laws, customs, and commerce will rot in the deserts they have created, lie bleached..... We, the mestizos we will remain (Anzaldua 257)." In this quotation, Anzaldua decided to use the word bleached as a way of empowering the mestizos and show them that, these branded identities which put in the society; at last, they will be void. She goes ahead and explains the act of resistance and assimilation which is being imposed on them by the whites through their thinking perspectives. To whites was a way of ensuring that; they have entirely dominated the non-whites destiny (Anzaldua 257). Thus, Anzadalua, tells her story of how assimilation language dialect resulted to shame in her life. Having a Chicago dialect, her audiences perceived her as suspicious of her shame and identity disgust. In other words here, she is trying to suggest that they should avoid as much as possible behaviors that that can lead them branded as assimilates. It is because; ethnicity identity goes hand in hand with language identity in white man's soil (Anzaldua 257).

Thus, black men and women are reluctant in making any deals the white for they are afraid of them. As a result, reveals of racial discriminations in the region. However, at some point, I tend to disagree with this idea because most of the blacks are marrying whites as a way of escaping color identity and discrimination in the region. Enabling them, to be able to speak the same language dialect and hence easing the burden of perception among them. However, this strives to show us that, the struggle between the two line of identity, the black or a white which has dramatically depicted a complicated history of status in the region. Therefore, these notions bring out themes of oppression and racial segregation, which are subjected to the blacks (Anzaldua, pg. 258). Nevertheless, as a way of trying to escape from all these problems, blacks are said to have borrowed the concept ideas from the whites. Among the ideas are; to copy them and try as much to be as whites in the region, in other words, to be assimilated.
