Grady Tripp, a college tutor whose spouse has quit his life recently and abandoned him entirely is also grappling with the challenge of a pregnant mistress. Be that as it may, these occasions appear to be the least of his issues as he manages an irregular student, James, a killed dog and a novel that makes Joyce's "Ulysses" appear to be short (Curtis). Grady acts his way through the majority of the scenes of his character well and gives an astounding layer of an astute actor who is in touch with reality in a unique way. From the earliest starting point, his character is one of a kind and interesting. He brings an unrelenting humour that edges its way in at any rate anticipated minutes. Generally, this is the selling purpose of the film. Grady seems to have too much going n around his life but manages to control and stay easy with all these emerging challenges in the most amazing of ways. He is a portrayal of the typical American working class who have to grapple with the challenges of his career as well as keeping the strict balancing act of his family.

In the first scene of the movie, we are introduced to James Leer, in Grady's class. He goes through his work and different students provide adequate "productive" analysis. Grady quickly perceives James' ability, however, what he cannot understand is the significant quality of work that the kid will achieve in his learning and professional life. The audience, however, is able to strike a similarity of two characters who are quite serious with life (Curtis). Focused and professionals who are good at what they do. Both Grady and James are able to provide the needed impetus in with movie; learning and other social engagements.

Whereas Grady seems to be a straightforward person and focused on his engagements, James Leer appears as a liar and a cheeky student who does not seem to toe the line at all times. Grady seems more confused and worried about him. The contrast between the two characters is that the movie; an upset educator and his self-destructive student, who might be an obsessive liar. As a parody experience, "Marvel Boys" pursues the rationale of a street film, with Grady and James driving around and experiencing one peculiar circumstance after another.

Grady seems to be a troubled person, unlike James. Worsening and expanding Grady's nervousness is the college's carnivore celebration, Wordfest, which carries the business interests into the separate ivy-tower scholarly condition. The criticality of the movie is furthered by the nearness of Q (Rip Torn) who is a more seasoned, author in essay writing; he fills in as the image of successful writer that Grady has always admired and had in his fold. Grady's mind, throughout the movie, is unsettled. He is perturbed by the timeliness of things in his mind; this is in sharp contrast to James who seems to be much easy and just enjoying his life in the college.
