Wellness can be said to be a combination of mental, spiritual, and physical well-being. It can deeply be seen as much more than just nutrition exercise or physical health. Most human being works hard day in day out in desire to maximize their intensity of good health, improved lifestyles personal growth and achieving the balance we need for our body, mind, and spirit. A person's well- being is vital, and one should take responsibility for their psychological physical and emotional wellbeing. This paper discusses the general idea of what wellness is contemplated as, together with the importance of the prosperity of a person. Several dimensions of wellness have been put forward, defining the broad idea of wellness.
One of the essential dimensions of wellness is social wellness. As part of the social being, social welfare entails the ability to socialize and interact with those people around us, making friends maintaining a good relationship with those that cross our daily lives. Some people may present antisocial behavior due to different situations and experiences such as childhood traumas, born introverts, depression, among others (Strout& David, 2016).Some of these people are said to be mentally disturbed while others feel like they don't belong. Social wellness is, and one should strive to achieve it to avoid loneliness, depression, sadness, and even escape suicidal thoughts for being close, communicative and open to people often takes one of these thoughts.
Emotional wellness is the second yet significant dimension of wellness. It is the capacity to know who we are, understanding ourselves, and know how to adapt to life changes. Knowing oneself is import, and just as social wellness, one can share their fears, stress or sadness, anger, joy, love, and happiness. Letting out these emotions contributes majorly to a person's wellbeing leading them to a happier life (Carlson, 2019). If a person is satisfied, then the chances are high that this will be transmitted to those close to them, resulting in a whole one happy society.
Another dimension of wellness is spiritual wellness. This type of welfare is found through establishing harmony and inner peace in our daily lives. Being spiritually healthy, one can understand what binds creatures together, create morality boundaries, know the core values, and lead right actions that contribute to their spiritual wellbeing. The presence of consciousness and guilt lead people to make healthier decisions, and so it is equally essential to keep spiritual wellness in check.
Environmental Wellness is another dimension of wellness that refers to the balance in a person's life is highly influenced by the environment they live in. Being conscious of our environment, protecting it and cultivating it to the better, affects environmental wellbeing. The surroundings nearly reflect what is in our minds. Keeping our planet, home or workplaces in check can help in our environmental wellbeing.
Physical Wellness is the dimension of wellness that entails maintaining a balance physical body activity helps us get through our daily routines or activities without physical stress and with less fatigue. Recognizing that without these impacts negatively on our lives contributes positively to our physical wellbeing and avoiding bad habits such as smoking.
Finally, the Occupational and Intellectual Wellness is a dimension explaining how man thrives in Jobs of our desire gives us personal fulfillment as well as financial fulfillment. Positivity in our jobs brings changes to the organizations we work for and also open our minds expanding them to new experiences and ideas (Annavarapu, 2018).The desire to keep leaning brings us to our mental wellbeing.
Conclusion
Conclusively, optimal wellness brings a person closer or to their dreams. Productivity in everything they do is seen for there is little or no negative energy in their lives. I think personal wellness should never be underrated and that above all things we should practice positive thoughts and check our wellbeing.
