Introduction
The rise of technology across the world has adversely influenced interactions across the globe. The development of various types of modern technological devices and appliances across the world has a vast correlation with the significant symbols. According to conflict perspectives, creation and reproduction is majorly affected by the jeopardy of equality and the nature of social processes disrupts its smooth running and the operations within the society. Different computers owned by people, cars, and the ability to explore the latest Apple products act as social indicators for status and wealth and are embodied within the digital divide. Interestingly, conflict theorist argues that controlling technology is seen by many as a way of promoting the norms of a given social class within a society while minimizing overdependence on other cases. However, in technophiles, supercomputing, artificial intelligence, automation, and robots, technology is seen as a source of social status. Conflict theorists also assert that adopting technology such as automation is a sign of potential brighter future. This paper focuses on examining the significance of the conflict perspective in discussing the effects of technologies in the social world.
Pros of Technologies in Conflict Perspective
Technologies in the world tomorrow hurt the social interaction in most societies. They define the level communications through enhancing communication modes and building steadfast collaborations. Supercomputing and artificial intelligence have adversely boosted security systems within social settings. Adequate information about various societal aspects has been enhancing through the dispensation of transparent information about society (Carozza, Mauro, and Luigi 13). Conflict theorist argues that technologies such as automated vehicles result in a smooth flow of operations within the community in its various economic developments. Moreover, supercomputing has come with various popular sites for free sharing of information and engagement in self-policing forms.
Cons of Technologies in Conflict Perspective
Conflict theorists suggest that the rise of technology in the social world has led to the unbalanced political arena. Overdependence of such media platforms has heightened the amount of false information received by people as well as exposes users to addictions. Technologies have been created to make life easier; however, their inception in the modern world portrays a gap in social status. As a result, maintaining equality in society has been met with numerous challenges (Carozza, Mauro, and Luigi 15). For instance, the automated Uber automation policy has created social segregation that bars their credibility. Technology has led to overexploitation and deterioration of the economy in their application and maintenance. Conflict theorist uses the new economy version to explain the jury that exists in the modern capitalistic world to evoke the inequality in the society which is brought about by the introduction of different types of technologies.
Effects of Automation on Workers
Automation is significant in creating jobs as well as raising wages. In a social setting, workers depend on the wages for their daily livelihood and satisfaction of their societal needs. However, automation is always associated with the reduction of production, thereby asserting higher output that affects industries (Sydow 275). As a result, it improved a massive displacement effect among workers. Similarly, automation increases productivity among workers resulting from rising wages.
Conclusion
In conclusion, conflict theorists suggest that the world of tomorrow will be significantly influenced by technology. The power control and equality in the social setting reiterate the power which is exhibited in the social institutions - however, the forms of technology act as gatekeepers, which can be used to determine future rationales. Interestingly, technology makes interaction easier as well as shapes performances among people in various societal disciplines. Overall, the use of automation determines the wage limits and output among workers, thereby portraying their productivity.
