The strategies for needs analysis depend on the objectives that are determined by the circumstances. Therefore, the first fundamental step for needs analysis is the identification of the goals and objectives of the organization then collecting the relevant information regarding the knowledge, skills together with the attitudes of the employees that would be significant in the future. The third step involves the analysis of the information that has been garnered and lastly identification of the performance gaps between the present situation and the expected outcome (Van de Poel, Van Dyk, Gasiorek & Blockmans, 2015). The first step, which is the identification of the organizational goals and objectives is essential to determine the specific areas that demand attention from the strategic plan. Therefore, the organizational goals and objectives should be clear to every member of the organization. The evaluation of the objectives and goals would also enable the ranking of regulatory demands in regards to their priority at a particular moment.

The second necessary step involves the gathering of information which follows immediately after the organizational goals and objectives have been stated hence the need to define what is supposed to be accomplished. The process of gathering knowledge can be segmented in various ways of inquiry which include inquiring about what people need to achieve the particular objectives, the experience, and skills that they already possess and also the know-how that may be necessary for the future pursuit of the targets. The third essential step in the evaluation of the information that has been collected (Van de Poel et al., 2015). This stage demands analytical skills to ensure practical assessment. The analysis process should question the existing performance gaps that are influencing the current employee performance as well as the performance gaps that are likely to affect future employee performance. The results of the evaluation of the information gathered are directed into the final step which involves the identification of the performance gap.

The last step of identifying the performance gap involves the identification of the behavioral area that is not performed to the ultimate level when determining the task performance. Performance gaps are often as a result of the workplace challenges or even other external factors that affect workplace performance. Generally, the essence of needs analysis can be evaluated by weighing the repercussions of inadequate or lack of needs analysis in an organization. The lack of needs analysis can result in experiences such as constraints in organizational development, high employee turnover rates alongside management constraints with the corporate staff (Van de Poel et al., 2015).

On the other hand, performance requirement validation entails the process of assessing the requirements of a particular project development meets the demands of the customer or defines a typical system that satisfies the needs of a client (Nasir, Mahmood, Shaikh, & Shaikh, 2015). Therefore, to ascertain the achievement of correctness in a particular system, requirement validation is conducted by evaluating if the order has obtained the set business objectives, if it meets the demands of the customer and if the developers exercise a complete understanding of the system. Therefore, performance requirement validation is essential because it enables the fulfillment of the requirements of a particular order (Nasir et al., 2015). An example of performance requirement evaluation in a healthcare setting would involve the examination of the security system of the healthcare database to ensure the safety of the patient information that is stored in the database. The patients' data is stored in the facility database upon visit for healthcare services hence the privacy for the patient information should be examined and upheld.
