The issues faced as a leader entail exercising effective leadership to a group of individuals having different communication styles. For instance, some of the individuals in the team are quite organized and thorough as well as show significant commitment in setting clear objectives to ensure that employees understand their exact roles within an organization. Others are conservative but committed to handling their duties effectively. Some are spontaneous and work best when they have the opportunity of thinking on their feet. Moreover, other individuals in the team are secretive and do not wish to reveal about their private or personal lives, although they take their jobs seriously. Other individuals in the team perceive it ideal for leaders to possess a good sense of people and friendliness when working with teams. Besides, others emphasize on being straightforward and ensure they get what they want irrespective of whether they make other people annoyed. In addition, some prefer gaining the confidence of the people through working together with communities whereas others lay significant emphasis on solving any challenges that appear on their way of doing things (Capella University, 2016).

Based on the diversity of communication skills among the team members, leading them poses significant challenges irrespective of whether one is leading a spontaneous neighborhood committee or responding to a disaster affecting an entire city. While playing the role of a leader, therefore, one needs to coordinate the leadership team comprising of eight individuals with distinct styles of communication. Furthermore, it will be crucial to consider devising the ideal strategies, which will assist in dealing with the groups of individuals effectively. Hence, in working effectively with the groups of individuals, it is essential to consider understanding the leadership traits they portray to work effectively with them to ensure that the residents of Brown Trout Bay receive adequate water distribution.
