According to Christians, Jesus is the son of God and the second person in the holy trinity. He was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born by the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem. He was regarded as Jesus of Nazareth because after His birth, He spent most of his life in Nazareth (Jesus 5). Dating back to His era, people were branded their name depending on the city they lived in. Including Nazareth in Jesus' name would also make people understand which Jesus people were referring to in their day to day conversations. Referring to Him as Jesus of Nazareth also manifested that He was a humble Man because Nazareth was a very lowlife Town residing in Galilee. I believe that Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection had a lot of significance, as discussed below.

Jesus of Nazareth was a reformer (The meaning of Jesus 63). The battle of reforming was between Jesus and the Pharisees. He wanted the Pharisees to change their ways and seek forgiveness. Jesus wanted the Pharisees, who were by then the church leaders, to avoid being selfish and treat everyone with maximum equality. Jesus tried to reform the church by chasing away those who were being involved in the buying and selling of commodities in the church (The meaning of Jesus 92). He wanted them to identify that whatever they were doing was not right, and they needed to embrace change. To add on, Jesus tried to change the people's belief of observing and adhering to laws. He wanted the leaders to be more considerate of the follower's views and interests (Was Christ a Social Reformer 6). He also changed the way people view the church as a place where only the pure and righteous were welcomed. Jesus argued that even sinners were supposed to be allowed in the church to enable them to repent and become good people, away from their sinful acts. His acceptance of sinners meant that everyone was welcomed to his kingdom. Jesus' actions to request sinners to repent and forgive them brought some differences between him and the Pharisees. Thus, the significance of Jesus as a reformer is that everyone should be treated equally, and people should stand firm to their words without fear of others becoming enemies.

Another significance of Jesus of Nazareth during his ministry is that he portrayed the power of healing (The Meaning of Jesus 95). Jesus spent most of his time healing those who could not see, hear, walk, and others suffering from deadly diseases such as the lepers. His healing was symbolic, and it had meanings. Jesus wanted to be famous and to let people know that he is indeed the son of God (The Meaning of Jesus 86). He also wanted people to believe that he had the power to forgive as they attached illness to evil. Another purpose of healing was to show his ability to care for the less privileged individuals. After His ministry, he handed offer the task of healing to his disciples and the apostles. The importance of His healing life, even in today's life, is that the majority of people believe that it is right to face men and women of God for healing in case they are affected by sickness. Prayers for healing are also directed to Jesus, and people have faith that they will get healed through him. This is because diseases are away more of testing our faithfulness to God, and when we pray to Him, there is some proof that we recognize Him as the healer, thus following His teachings.

Furthermore, being a teacher was another importance of Jesus in his life as His teachings are felt even to date. He taught from everywhere, including people's homes and on the roads or from where people worked. He was a great teacher because God had formed a good foundation for teaching. Jesus also had a strong sense of love for both young and older people. Jesus' teachings ranged from various values such as love, humility. About love, He said that people are supposed to love God and extend the appreciation to their neighbors for them to receive the blessings they deserve. Jesus taught that the way to avoid challenges in life, one must master the art of giving in to those who are above them. Among other teachings by Jesus were, how to pray, forgive, and to refrain from judging others and considering oneself as righteous before God. Jesus used various teaching methods to convey His lessons to the followers, such as asking questions, narrating related stories, and visible illustrations (Teaching Method of Jesus 3). Jesus repeated his teaching now and then to put more emphasis. He also acted as a good role model and did everything as he taught to set an example. Thus, the characteristics of Jesus as a teacher, such as speaking with clarity and confidence, are applied in the education sector.

Jesus of Nazareth in His ministry was faced with temptations. Jesus was tried by the devil in the wilderness when he was fasting and praying. Jesus was tempted to illustrate that any human being is prone to temptations. The temptations also portrayed His sympathy for humanity. Jesus also manifested His strong belief in God's power. Another significance of His journey was during His torture, crucifixion, and death. This concluded that suffering is part of life, and it should be embraced. Jesus' resurrection from the dead proved His teachings about eternal life for those who are ready to follow His instructions (Jesus is Eternal Life 1).

Conclusion

In conclusion, Jesus was referred to as Jesus of Nazareth because he resided from Nazareth. His residence symbolized Humility. Jesus' life and ministry were of importance as it contained many lessons. Jesus was a healer, a teacher, and a reformer. Jesus taught about love, faith, forgiveness, humility, and salvation. His temptations by the devil, death, and resurrection had significance to the human's daily life.
