Globalization refers to the state where businesses or other organizations develop international influence or start operating on an international scale (Pieterse, 2019). My understanding of globalization is that organizations or businesses expand to other countries so that they can increase their global reach. I think that globalization is good. Globalization ensures that wealth is spread more equally across the globe, ensures that the prices of goods are affordable due to competition as well as ensuring political, cultural and economic integration throughout the world (Pieterse, 2019).

Question 2; What Is Politics, What Is Government And The Different Forms Of Government.

Politics refer to the activities that are associated with the governance of different countries, especially between the parties having power (Wilkinson, 2016). Politics may also be defined as agreements that are made between people so that they can live together in groups such as cities, countries, or different territories.

The government refers to the system or group of people governing an organized community or state. It can also be seen as the relation between the governed and the governing word (Wilkinson, 2016). There are different forms of governments, and they include democracy, monarchy: Oligarchy, totalitarianism as well as authoritarianism.

Question 3; what is Culture, Political Culture, a State, and a Nation?

Culture may be defined as the social behaviors and norms of different societies as well as their habits, customs, beliefs, arts, and laws (Welch, 2016). Other people define culture as the ideas, customs, and social behavior of particular people or societies.

Political culture is defined as the set of shared views and normative judgments held by a population about its political system. Political culture mainly focuses on how people view the political system as a whole, as well as their view and belief on its legitimacy. Therefore, some authors define political science as the composite of basic values, feelings, and knowledge that underlie the political process (Welch, 2016). A state means a patch of land with a sovereign government. A nation, on the other hand, refers to a group of people who are bound into a single body by shared values, culture, language, or religion.

A developing world has certain features that categorize it. Some of the basic features of growing or developing economies include high rates of unemployment and dependence on the primary sector (Agarwal, 2017). Manufacturing and service sectors are seen to rise in developing worlds. Other features include dependence on exports of primary commodities, high population growth rate as well as low per capita income.

Nationalism is seen as advocacy of or support for political independence for a particular nation (Alesina et al., 2017). Nationalism is seen to have both positive and negative effects. Some of the positive effects of nationalism include uniting people, promoting pride as well as promoting a sense of identity. Nationalism also has different negative effects, and they include infringing on the rights of other people, the creation of xenophobia, and it leads to conflicts. Nationalism has a significant impact on the world today. People have a great sense of identity and love for their country, and they go to a great extent to prove that (Alesina et al., 2017). Nationalism has led to wars between countries as people seek to protect the interests of their country.

Question 6; Describe Colonialism and Independence, and the Cultural, Social and Economic Impacts They Have Had, and Still Have, On Civilizations

Colonialism refers to may be defined as the practice in which different countries acquire full or partial political control over other countries (Nugent, 2012). In most cases, colonialism aims at exploiting the locals economically. Independence refers to the state where a nation or state can exercise self-governance and become a sovereign society (Nugent, 2012).

Colonialism had both social, cultural, and economic impacts. The economic impacts of colonialization included economic growth in some parts, while others were faced with unequal distribution of resources. Social impacts included that people changed their ways of life, their livelihoods, and there was increased interaction of people (Nugent, 2012). Cultural effects included intermarriages, people disowning their cultures and beliefs as well as wars between different communities.
